White bread recipe:
540 ml warm water.
1 tablespoon sugar.
11 grams of dry yeast.
630 grams of wheat flour.
2 teaspoons salt.
230 g spelled flour.
30 ml sunflower or olive oil.
sunflower oil.
Bake at 210°C (410°F) for 30-35 minutes.
The bread is very crispy!

A full list the substitutes for spelt flour: These alternatives include almond meal, coconut flour, oat bran flour, einkorn (another ancient grain), quinoa (a gluten-free option), brown rice (also gluten-free), barley flours, white rice flours, amaranth, whole-wheat flours, and plain wheat flours. With limited money and having to count on others to shop for me I use a basic wheat flour myself. You could use a plain flour, or bread flour as well. Most of these provide a more earthy, nutty flavor I enjoy but it's just not practical for me. You can usually use a plain flour in most recipes, the flavor & texture may be somewhat different but making your own bread is always worth it to me!

Do what I did. Get a digital scale and a metric measuring cup. I envelope of yeast is about 8 grams. There is s an app that converts events everything, too. This isn't the only European cooking channel I watch, and I inherited my great grandparents bakery books. They came here Austria-Hungary (Slovenia) and owned 4 bakeries in Dayton, Ohio at one time in 40s and 50s.
