I had the same reaction to fontaines as justin, regards "i should and want to love it but i cant". After starburster came out i went back and re-listened to their previous stuff and suddenly it sounds amazing. It's intresting that sentiment is echoed..

Exactly the same experience here, been listening to them non-stop since this came out and now obsessed. It's amazing how just one tune can re-frame the vision of a band in your mind, and make them that much more believable! 5* track, more power to them.

When I moved from the Arizona to Stoke on Trent to be with my wife 10 years ago she played many of the Darkness albums for me and we're now I'm also a fan. On the keepy up's…. i actually think this is deliberate. I feel like it suggest the naivety of the character, he can’t keep one thought in his head and requires all his brain power to keep the ball up… he's a simple-minded guy, later you hear him chackling in a very simple-minded, childish way, and the song is a scatter gun of thoughts. Never thought I’d analyse keepy ups so much.

I do miss the raw garage rock sound of Dogrel, but imo Skinty Fia is their best and a modern classic. I hope this band keeps going for many years to come and builds up an excellent discography. They're certainly capable.
