FYI If you are interested in the stats around the odds of getting a shiny larvitar and let’s be optimistic say that the shiny rate is 1/64 and that there’s no other factor that influences the odds, then to have a 90% chance of at least one shiny larvitar requires you to encounter Cliff 150 times (if the rate is 1/500 then this increases to 1200!!)

For ANY leader: Swampert Lucario Venusaur. Swap into lucario right of the bat to get both shields down. I haven't seen a leader which could resist this team.

@@MillenniumVT_Official Honestly yes, Leader pass two turns after a switch or a charged attack. So spam power up punch to get shield down. So switch right off the bat to lucario. (Mine is 2500cp). Swampert and venu are level 50 100%.

there has indeed been a bug with grunts since march began, you will not know if a stop has a grunt on it unless you get in range of the stop. basically you cant even hunt them without being close to them, the fact that not only they had the TAKEOVER event take place with the bug unfixed, but even a month later its still ongoingm, is laughable.

I did about 100 battles each day during event. And only caught one shiny shadow bulbasaur. Has there been any confirmation on the shiny odds from grunts? i hope its not full odds...I really want a shiny shadow charmander. edit: i was only doing the grunts who gives starters and cliff. I too had terrible luck with the grunts and the leaders. With the wild spawns it was a lot better I got a 3 shiny dittos, shiny caterpie, starly, corphish, onix, galatian stunfisk, and roggenrola

Its pretty rough especially considering that maximum theres 12 new shiny shadows a year but realistically its probably more like 8 because they always give one leader a repeat so its still going to be a long while before you can realistically shiny hunt from grunts

Well as someone who just did over 300 grunts while grinding lvl 46 beat 50 leaders mission i didnt get a single shadow shiny from a grunt... I did get one shadow shiny aerodactyl tho from cliff with kinda ok pvp ivs lol but yea terrible rates for sure prob base 1/500+ if hasnt already been confirmed by now.
