The Constant knew he was dead the moment 47 came into his cabin. As he said he had to at least try to make the offer. Otherwise he was just accepting his end with some dignity. And you can in fact inject yourself and become his loyal killer, so in some timelines the Constant wins.

I love the idea of proxy kills to make or help other people kill your targets so you don't actually kill them yourself, but setting up accident kills by sabotaging things is nothing different than killing the target yourself, same for making target slip and fall off the ledge to his death by placing a banana peel there is no different to shooting the target in the leg so he trips and falls to his death. This is kinda like Vincent in Collateral movie: "You killed him?", "No, I shot him. Bullets and fall killed him".

@@Trzebiat In short, accidents without any sabotaging required is acceptable as long as the death itself was caused by a poor life choice on the target's behalf, i.e. the target isn't paying attention or someone else has it out for them.
