chess battle royale would actually be sick. like 100 players. starting off, they move like a pawn. then they get upgrades like, being able move 1 square diagonally, ability to move like a king,knight, etc, and first person to find a promotion square can promote to fully move like a bishop,rook,knight,queen, last man standing wins.

If the draw rate is 96% that suggests that the game is very boring and easy to draw, making it possibly the easiest chess variant, not the hardest.
