I platniumed all the far cry games you can and new dawn was definetely the second worse experience besides 6. God the fact ubisoft forces you to redo outposts 3 times (I think its been like 5 months) and having you replay a bunch of maps just for them to be harder with enemies who are bullet sponges was a slog. The only good thing that came out of the game was the Saw Launcher, Max Upgraded Saw Launcher is an absolute demon that shreds thru anything in one hit

Far Cry 6 was a lot better. New Dawn wasn't even a Far Cry game when you look at it. Especially being flooded with crazy micro transactions and the worst leveling system in history.

@@uhohitsatrap9989 I think Far Cry 6 is worse mainly because I just didn’t care about any of the characters in the story. By the time I hit the halfway mark, I was already feeling bored. I’ll give it credit for being the most cinematic entry in the series, though. Plus, I love that it’s set in the Caribbean since I spent a lot of my childhood there, and I did like Dani. But honestly, the game felt like every other Ubisoft title, with its cluttered map objectives and those frustrating insurgent missions that make you wait two weeks for the platinum trophy. New Dawn isn’t better than 6; it’s just shorter. I didn’t enjoy New Dawn, but I found 6 even more tedious because I invested so much time grinding for that platinum, and a lot of it was just going through the motions. My opinions are really shaped by that platinum experience. Yes 6 is a better game than new dawn but it's the worse plat experience in the far cry games

There is a map/monitor in one of the Expedition missions that shows that the nukes weren't just on Montana. You finds this while also doing an easter egg where you find the Splinter Cell suit as a reward.

Silliest thing is…this has far more QOL than Far Cry 5. You can upgrade the damage of all your weapons with ethanol, you get enough movement speed and a double jump to practically break the game, and the best of all-ANIMAL COMPANIONS CAN GET IN THE CAR 13/10 Best far cry game, Far Cry 5 has a huge sandbox of guns but the story is mid as fuck.

I hated that option, made the deputy sound like an idiot who could be convinced to love the guy he was supposed to arrest and potentially kill. Like Joseph Seed does some evil shit before the bombs fall you know? He takes over an entire state and forces those drugs on everyone making them dependent on him. He'd butcher anyone who stood against his cult and you'd see the results of that, human or animal. After all that shit and all the violence he sends at you, just for you to decide to help him after spending time in a bunker with him? It makes no sense and it never made any sense. Like I was gonna be a cop once, no one who was a good cop would let go of what Joseph did during the bombs dropping, most of them would've punished or killed Joseph for what he did to the people of Hope County. This game is so bad cause they try to make that bastard redeemable and they make him take over your old character, it makes no damn sense and it's an insult to what we did in the 5th game. Brain dead ass stories only idiots would enjoy.

Well that's kinda still the problem the story isn't good. This is literally so much like FC5 that its more a DLC than sequel. If the story isn't good enough to come sate for that then its bound to have people dissapointed. Not to mention the side content looks much worse than FC5. Hell I would say Hillbilly cult land is a far more interesting setting than post apocalyptic.

I never finished FarCry New Dawn. I finished FarCry 5 and absolutely loved it, and honestly thought that was the ending of the game, you're trapped in the bunker with the man you've been hunting the entire game, tied up, at his mercy, while everyone you knew is now dead. But FarCry New Dawn spits in the face of the America induced FarCry 5 by making the game very simple and uninteresting. And what's more, for the entire game you can progress with level 1 or 2 weapons, but the final boss requires at minimum max level weapons, and then you need to actually train for it because it consists of one enemy who wants to get right on you with a flamethrower and the other is impossible to find while sniping you like the little b she is.

I got NewDawn as my first FarCry during Lockdown, wanted to see what it was about and it seemed like a nice little game/ demo. I modded it a bit and at first it wasnt so bad. But halfway through I just wanted it to end: Some quests where very buggy requiring constant googling on how to solve things, the story and its ending wherent great and just dragged on for hours. I instantly deleted it after finishing it. Got FarCry 3 after that and iam much happier as its the best one...

New Dawn is one of the best since Far Cry 2 and even before since it brought back the mutant powers, I liked Far Cry 3 with the classic tropical island setting but I really enjoyed Far Cry 4 a bit more and 5 was just okay, 6 was alright too but about the same. I think New Dawn is one of the best, and would have done well as its own full game. Also shout out to Blood Dragon, that was fun
