Going the Bandit Lord and becoming the scourge of the land sounds pretty fun. Especially since you don't have lands to defend, and you can raise armies by being a criminal, if someone decides at that point to take you out, your mobility means you choose the time and place for them to take on your full army so long as you're not caught completely by surprise.

I like how he needed only 3 criteria to be met for Levying the outcasts, but he went ahead and achieved all of them (and with his initial choices he actually seemed to have fulfilled 2 immidiately). That's a true bandit king spirit!

It's actually pretty sweet. Becoming a conquering adventurer is extremely powerful, but I didn't even show off the new Byzantium government form and personal estates. I predict this system will be used for merchant republics in the future.
