Pro tip for coalitions: go to message settings and set the notification for the end of a truce to pop up and pause the game. It’ll give you a much needed day to immediately declare to prevent them from forming or joining a coalition.

@@frederick9211 That is another name, as far as I am aware, but the dynasty name overall is Borjigin, at least it is in other Paradox titles like Ck2/3.

@@frederick9211 the Genghisids were just Turkic Khans who intermarried with or integrated with the Mongols who took the last name. Its like the Timurids who claimed descent from Genghis then married one of his great great great granddaughters. The Borjigins were actual Mongols and the true dynasty

after you take mandate of heaven horde ideas remain, so if you take horde+espionage+aristocratic you can stack a lot of cavalry combat ability bonuses

Technically the Mongol Khanate kept going into the 20th Century because I'm pretty sure the Qing Chinese kept the Mongol titles as vassals in their Mongolian and Turkmen provinces. Sort of like how the Aztec Empire technically still existed for like a century after the Spanish conquered it.

The date can be different depending on who you ask. Could be when the empire first split into 4 though nominally the Yuan Dynasty still claimed the mantle of great khan so maybe when the Yuan itself fell. Many in europe consider the fall of the golden horde as the end or maybe even the longest lasting division of the empire that existed until the 17th century.
