Wait, Walking Corpse Syndrome is in Bitlife!? Way to go for awareness! Walking Corpse Syndrome isn't actually how you described it, though. I actually had a "mild" case of it for awhile (put as "mild" because there really is no case of WCS that is truly "mild". Mine just wasn't as bad as other cases. Most known cases cause you to be in a constant state of delusion for long periods of time, but I had periods of time where I was lucid. Those lucid periods were still painful, though, 'cause I was constantly fighting back against the delusions and that much mental effort gave me awful headaches). I'm WCS free now, thankfully, but I still have to be aware of if my depression starts getting bad again. WCS is absolutely horrible. Try thinking of the worst case of depression you've ever had, and multiply that by 1000. It's impossible to know how awful it feels unless you've actually experienced it for yourself. When I had it, it felt like I literally had no soul. I would just sit and stare into blank space for hours on end. I wouldn't eat because I thought I was dead and "dead people don't need to eat". I couldn't look at myself because every time I looked in the mirror my brain would be telling me my skin was rotting off. There were times where I thought I had no brain or stomach. And no amount of reasoning from my parents or doctors could convince me I wasn't actually dead, 'cause the disease effects the area of your brain that deals with reasoning, so I was just stuck like that. I finally got better after a ton of therapy and finding out my body wasn't making enough cortisol and was put on medication for that. I fell like I shouldn't be surprised WCS is in Bitlife. It's a pretty weird disease, after all. And shoutout to Bitlife for having it be caused by the right circumstances. Starting out with regular depression and just doing nothing until the depression gets bad enough to turn into WCS? Sounds about right to me! Oh, and yes, you can die from it. Not from te condition itself, but from your reaction the the delusions. As I said before, there were times where I didn't eat because "dead people don't need to eat". A lot of people with WCS end up dying from starvation or vitamin deficiencies.. I was lucky that I still lived with my parents and they pretty much forced me to eat when I refused to do it myself.
