Man, this format would be a LOT different if they didn't shift Legendary Duelist sets to have rares instead of commons. I think Lyrilusc could've actually been playable if we had Beryl in the format. Alas, I will play my favorite deck in Advanced and continue to find something that I enjoy in Common Charity.

Tip for one of your first games: Vessel for the dragon cycle can dump any wyrm to the grave ie mare mare. Tends to be useful for those shaman plays later on to get three free materials on the field

Really looking forward to Gren Maju shenanigans in Common Charity. Also looking forward to Heart of the Underdog since the concept behind it sounds like there's basically just a community-driven forbidden/limited list that locks out busted archetypes. It looks like it has a lot of potential. It will be incredibly cool seeing the community come together to reshape modern Yugioh into something interesting and somewhat balanced, and it could potentially bring back a lot of older players while introducing new people to the game for the first time. The only thing that could make it better is if OTS tournament organizers are allowed to strike specific cards and ban them (say, oh idk, Imperial Order?). Like, no one is talking enough about the implications behind this format idea. It would essentially allow us to shelve Yugioh's standard format as something more akin to Historic format in Magic the Gathering while also giving the community a greater voice in how modern Yu-Gi-Oh is shaped. And given that OTS tournament organizers would be the authorities shaping the meta, we'd still have some sort of governing body to help filter out all the noise made by the community. And for those who still want to play standard Yugioh at tournaments and want to enjoy all the current tier 1-2 archetypes from that format, then they're free to do so. Like, god knows that if i ever started going to locals, i'm probably playing either Vtuber Orphans, Gren Maju shenanigans or Albaz. All this would really offer is another choice as to how people can play the game, which i think is one of the greatest strengths of a TCG. Having alternative formats like this plays to the strengths of the analog nature of a physical trading card game (as opposed to something like Hearthstone, where you're stuck playing the game modes that the developers have made).

Interesting interaction with sahadsara: even if the monster that it targets to make the token leaves the field it still makes the token with 0 atk and def. So it turns all your tenyis on and you can just turn it into a monk if need be

You can't activate the blue tenyi GY effect when a token is destroyed because it has to be able to special summon the destroyed monster from the GY
