Let me just say that the manga is WAY more graphic and goes into DEEP details both about his abuse at each of their hands as well as the lengths he goes to get his revenge. It was really interesting to see where they decided the line had to be drawn and what could NOT be shown. That all being said, it does calm down (both in action and in ACTION) after this point given the story does get a bit more developed and the world does get more fleshed out. Let me just say that if you saw this and you thought it was rough, you ain't seen anything compared to source material. This is not about good and evil, this is about who is less evil.

@skycastrum5803 Жыл бұрын
@@jmax6750 Disagree. There are some loose ends (possibly addresses in the LN), but it follows a logical pattern. He’s got his list that he really wants to screw over and steadily progresses through each one, uncovering more of how messed up the kingdom is as he goes. By the end it cuts off from his list to address the larger problem and once that’s done the story is pretty much complete. This actually hurts the show a bit, since it overshadows the whole revenge thing that is the major draw of the series. However, it does wrap things up, which avoids degrading that purpose through sheer repetition. Actually kind of surprised you came to the conclusion you did. There’s not that many people on MC’s “screw over list.” How many did he get to before you decided the show was just going to go on like that endlessly?

Few things to clear up. When Keyaru fakes the moments before he enacts his revenge, it's to see if time going back has changed anything, including the heroes personalities, but they still suck. ...Fluids...from a hero increases level caps. That's why he was assaulted and put on drugs. When he changes the guy to a waman, its mostly appearance. He can't change the genitalia. Including himself. The Sword Hero gave up satisfying the men's lust because Keyaru turned into Freya and she couldn't bear Freya seeing her do that (Freya whom she's in love with). And, for clarity, getting that blessing on his eye allowed him to know what all he suffered before the reboot. He still had it echoing in his mind because of how awful it was. He knew he couldn't escape the kingdom when they came for him, and he would be given access to all the kingdom's best people such as their best alchemist, their prized chef, their valued apothecary, etc. Everyone he heals is someone he gains the abilities and experience of, so he let them set him up with all their best assets. He just built his tolerance to drugs first. By the way, the guy left out what Keyarga and Setsuna did to the guards before leaving them in a pit with the bull. He hit the bull with an aphrodisiac...and a guard was the bottom. And, he wasn't pretending when he collapsed after healing Kureha. He simply stayed conscious, but it still hit him like a ton of bricks. He was testing Flare, and he learned that she discarded him from the beginning, something he didn't know before. There was purpose to his actions. They were demented, but there was purpose. He couldn't escape, and part of him couldn't ignore them. Even if it wasn't about revenge, they hurt good people because they can. What decent person ignores that? The hard lesson is that the only good people in that anime are the bystanders who get caught up in the mess.

If you ever want to write a dark fantasy with an evil protagonist. You need to not only make the antagonists hatable. You also need to make the protagonist relatable too. The guy needs his slow fall from grace where there are moments of hesitation but then his evil actions get justified again because the people that wronged him keep reminding him and you how irredeemable they are. In this instance. It just shows the weak character of the main character but also the sheer manlet that projects themselves onto this pathetic person. You just know it appeals to useless losers that have held a grudge and fermented it for so long that they've started harbouring psychotic thoughts. It certainly has an audience, but its not compelling enough to also make normal people follow along with the vitriol. There is an art to revenge tales and this series fails at the required nuance.

Redo of Healer is a great show. The healer deserved to get his revenge upon all those who treated him like absolute trash and, of course why not, getting some b*tches along the way. Watching him excert unhinged revenge does feel very satisfiying

i love how all of the viewers of this show literally think that rape can be justified by others being shitty to you
@D4rkn3ss2000 Жыл бұрын
@@goddesscarolyn19 so it was ok when LITERALLY EVERYBODY raped him, but he had to cope with that? Keyaru is the victim here, and if you didn't notice it he only sets his revenge upon those who hurt him before, not on innocent people. It's retribution in its most unhinged and unrestrained form. They all got what they deserved. One more thing to note here: This is a power fantasy show about REVENGE. The show delivers what it advertises, and I enjoy it for that.

@@D4rkn3ss2000 when did i say it was okay when they did it? it's a fantasy story, let them get what they deserve when you abandon them and they get ripped apart by some demons or some shit. maybe if the show were something like that it'd be more enjoyable to people. what sounds more satisfying as a revenge story? a man becoming a sex offender and serial rapist that forces himself on everyone? or a man allying with demonic forces and turning to non-disgusting evil to enact vengeance on those that wronged him? if they did something like that i'd totally watch it because it wouldnt feel like the creator of the show just writing out fucked up rape fantasies he's had into his art
@D4rkn3ss2000 Жыл бұрын
@@goddesscarolyn19 the creator did admit in an interview that his goal was to create to most brutal revenge story possible, and r*pe is probably one of the most brutal and evil acts imaginable, so I would say he succeeded. This is nothing new tbh. R*pe as a form of unhinged revenge has occured many times before. The one instance that comes to my mind right now is how the Soviet red army violated every woman between ages of 14 to 65 they could find along their way when they pushed back the german army back to Berlin at the end of WWII as a Revenge for the thousands upon thousands of people the nazi violated and killed when they invaded the soviet union. RoH is just revenge fantasy with some over-the-top evilness and hornyness.

This anime was great. Enjoyed every second of it. Can’t wait for season 2.
@BaoHadir Жыл бұрын
For those who don't know, the reason why Keyaru was raped pretty much constantly is due to a side benefit of being a hero: taking in a hero's essence (semen for sure, possibly blood?) raises a person's in-born level cap. Everyone has an innate level cap that limits how strong they can become, except heroes. By banging a hero, your level cap can be increased. The castle maids are also skilled fighters and assassins, which is why they were sent to bang him nightly. Redo of Healer is a pretty rapey story, but at its core is the story of someone put through hell and traumatized seeking revenge and also to heal what was broken in the world. Honestly, every target of his revenge deserved what they got, at the bare minimum. In truth, even with everything she put him through, Flare was the LEAST evil of all his vengeance targets.

This show was hyped up too much for me like it would make my eyeballs melt, but it was just a real revenge story with an MC following through on his revenge and not changing his mind halfway through. I don't feel a shred of sympathy for any of them (that did those f***** up things). all of them got what they deserved. 7.5 or 8/10 show for me.

The whole show is basically Kiarga making reasons for "revenge", he could have saved his village but let's them die then gleefully takes "revenge" Meets a demon dude for like a day, let's him die so he can "revenge" for his close "friend" and so on. Overall, the dude is more obsessed with revenge and will find or make any reason to claim revenge.
@SuraimukyattoVODS Жыл бұрын
The villagers were poisoned so they would have died anyway, also he was making a point to stir up the crowd and make the guards spawn the barrier. Later he even said he was sure he'd have been able to save at least 10 villagers but almost all of them had been poisoned in advance by norn. Hell after he manages to save the kid he tells the guy who's gonna be looking after kid to let the him hate Kyaruga since his drive for revenge will stave off his sadness and prevent him from wanting to die. Alsohe wasn't there when Karman died and only came across his corpse, this giving him the reason to kill all the troops in the city, he didn't "let him die" he just didn't make it to him in time. Kyaruga isn't a moral Jesus by any means but he's not the devil himself just looking for a reason to do some shit, the show is dark. And you have to live with the fact that Kyaruga only ever retaliates, never initiates. It's his personal rule to only harm those that wrong him

he gave them the chance to be different to be better but they never took it. if they were not evil if they had a shred of remorse or decency he would not had taken revenge but they proved that they were evil that's why he let them do it again. the whole giving them the rope to hang themselves with. that's why the knight lady the sword saint wasn't "abused" yes he manipulated her but not against her will, she liked him of her own accord he never messed the the sword waifu's mind so that is all on her.
