I had selective mutism in middle school. Got detention often because of it. I was severely bullied & developed anorexia. I take great pleasure in that the teacher was fired for serious drug addiction, and my bullies were taken away by CPS.

I am so sorry that you struggled so badly as a child. Be careful you probably make a lot of choices in life because of your trauma. You could have PTSD. Please talk to someone to work through this, if you haven’t already. The trauma will fester and manifest in many destructive ways seriously affecting your life.

Rosie’s birth was traumatic, but she was resuscitated quickly without any brain damage or even intensive care. In one conversation involving a few sentences both parents have PTSD.
