That’s exactly how the hobby starts!! I bought Kit, the doll I’ve wanted since childhood. But then I couldn’t just let Kit be all by herself, so I bought 121. Then I discovered a local Caroline, and I just had to buy her, and then I found a great deal on a NIB Maritza, and Maritza is just so pretty, so I had to get her. Now I’m eyeing a Lindsey and a JLY5, and I’d love to add Claudie and a late 90s Samantha to my collection, along with Marisol, 122, and Rebecca. Blaire is also on my list.

Honestly screaming because "I would venture it started out very innocently. Like-- oh, I'll just buy that one doll that I wanted as a kid and then I will move on" ... how did you KNOW??? LOL Started out with the Samantha of my childhood dreams, then I kept finding dolls second hand (thrifting, second hand)! I finally bought 1 doll new at my first AG store visit (Courtney) like a week ago and now I'm about 19 dolls deep with like 7-8 still on my ISO/wish list? I gradully bougt in while sewing for my GD's things they could not buy at the time in the store, like Star Wars Costumes, Harry Potter, etc. then I started getting addicted and needed my own models, and boy I am now all in. My daughters had the originals gifted to them by my sister, all white bodied the first year produced, Sam, Kirsten, and later Molly or vice versa. Sam is whate bodied the other two are German and Kirsten next to newer ones looks like she was on steriods. She is that much larger. Thank you! Oh and they have (they meaning now my GD's) have all those things you coveted and purchased, the accessories butterflys, carpet bags, beds, and all! You are much appreciated.

For real I ordered a CYO because a couple years ago in the summertime they were running a really good deal and I saw the advertisement and I was like I've always wanted one of those ever since I was a little kid and I babysat for that really rich girl who had all those American Girl dolls that she treated horribly... So I bought that "one" doll and ended up having five more before she ever arrived since she was back ordered. I'm currently sitting in my commercial space that I pay yearly for that houses my 400 plus American Girl dolls in a beautiful air conditioned environment that's nicer than my house. So like.... Don't be calling me out like that man. I just recently completed my collection of having one of every AG doll ever made. And now I'm trying to get every CYO feature that AG has ever made on at least one doll. Grrr. But on that note... I'm also Scotch Irish and a redhead!!

I loovvveeee the fact that you appreciate Addy dolls so much! 💕 I love black dolls, and the ones with textured or just very curly hair in my collection, I do tend to use a little bit of conditioner and hold just to keep their hair curled with only a few flyaways. 🖤 Also, if you wanna try a different wig, I recommend trying a braided wig. Some Etsy sellers have great wigs that I commonly see in real life with my family members, both protective and natural hairstyles. So please try them out! 😊 Also, I just became a new subscriber to you. 🎉

Family/Women/DV Shelters would love the books you don't want. I worked at a DV shelter and when kids came we would make little "care packages" with some books, a barbie or doll or stuffed animal or cars - depending on age, crayons, coloring books, and some other stuff. Many of these kids come with nothing so the care packages were very appreciated.

I bought my first american girl doll ever during this sale... i got #127 and could not be happier🥲i was never allowed a doll as a kid "bc i was a boy" and its been soo healing and i totally see myself buying a couple more lmaoo also wasnt #128 pulled out of the sale pretty quickly? I've been collecting American Girl dolls since I was almost 10. I'm going to be doing a deep dive on Kaya because when she came out that's when I discovered AG and then the following year I got my first doll Kailey Girl of the year 2003/2004 from Santa Then I kept getting dolls for my birthday and for Christmas ever since. Then I've also saved up my own Money to get some dolls aswell too like on their release day or retired doll off eBay. With all that said I have all the Historical and Girl of the Year doll's. Then I got some wellie wishers too aswell and some TLC Bitty twins and a TLC Samantha with her leg dangling from the elastic.

I think the Josephine sculpt is beautiful, the camera gives the hair a deep purple undertone. Oh dear poor little redhead. She looks off centered, her wig is definitely glued on wrong. Your blue haired Nanea sculpt looks beautiful. Her hair color is stunning with those eyes. I agree she gives mermaid vibes. Your custom mini me is looking good. I have seen a lot of PC eyes on Mercari for a good price. The second mini me isn't as much you as your new one. Your 104 I think is a Toni or Anthony or Bryan. Oh just a fyi RubyRed Galleries made the wigs for PC and they still make and sell 18" doll wigs. Everyone raves about their wigs of different sizes. I think 129 would look better with Caroline's eyes or Kirsten's or light brown. I love Addy sculpt. Find an old fashioned name it will suit her, like Alicia or Arabelle. I am trying to avoid getting into TM, but they are making it very hard not to. Lol. I just was thinking you can donate the books to a library or several library in different counties. I agree with you. For me it started with a tanbodied early Kirsten no one wanted at the thrift store, with the softest eyelashes, and bubble eye and some other issues. I paid 20$ for her, I just couldn't let her get thrown out, she had been in the case for nine months. I do agree with the hair, I have brought back to life so many wigs that looked ruined, only 3 didnt make it, two I think were user error, PC Kirsten and PC Molly (both oh horror were crunchy and breaking off) and the AG Mia (whose wig disintegrated just looking at it.) I agree your Addy sculpt would look gorgeous with tighter curls. If it makes you feel better, I did a thing non planned. I walked into the thrift store, near my house, and there was in the doll shelf four boxes full of AG clothes, first I wasn't impressed and then I recognized peeking through PC, I have bought over time many PC dolls from there none in their original clothes, so you can bet I sorted all of them and then chose the ones I wanted, I have 2 PC Samantha(s) so I got a few doubles of what I didn't have, and some of Felicity, a few of Kirsten's and then a huge stack of Addy's. Some are even made in Hungary and one in Germany, most China. The only AG one I bought was Elizabeth's cape. All were 3.46 a piece, so about 70$. So I ignored the Prime sale. I also spent a few hours looking up and confirming the more rare clothes to see what sets the belonged to. Also where the ones I passed up belonged to, I am not so versed on Girl of Today outfits.

my doll collection started when i fell in love with the Ever After High web series and would only buy what I found at Ross...then when that was cancelled, I enjoyed the 8 dolls that I got over that period of time for years! then my friend introduced me to the OMG LOL dolls and Moonlight BB was $10 on Amazon so I had to have her....then Emi Vanda the Rainbow High girl was $13 at Target.....then I really liked Miss Glam from the OMG series as well...then the OMG Tweens were the perfect little dolls so I got a couple...oh RH continued to have great deals....then Monster High G3 came out..... Anyway now I have at least 100 dolls ranging from those I talked about to Licca dolls and some Barbies, to more expensive and harder to find stuff like Little Apple Dolls, Azone dolls, Momokos, the Scary Godmother doll (cuz I loved that movie as a kid) and just. I'm trying to resist the call of American Girl but I'm getting the urge to at least get ONE and who knows what will happen after that.

Your TM 103 is beautiful I'd keep her she looks perfect too me. Just about All of my dolls have been bought unseen all came in the mail catalog ordered or bought online via AG and I've never returned a single doll in the many years I've been collecting. Because I love my dolls right when I get them and bond with them quickly and I don't see any flaws on her but if she did I couldn't see them at all because my eyesight isn't that good.
