Can you check the temps of the memory chips? Since he mentioned thermal pads, then it makes sense that it doesn't affect the temps of the core in the benchmarks

looking to reach out to you, having issue with my screen, skipping, hitching. not 100% sure. all i know is i have updated everything possible under the sun, nothing seems to be over heating. and i have all graphics settings as low as humanly possible. i got a solid 240 fps but some how my character is still hitching, skipping during game play. makes competitive gaming insanely impossible. fortnite. the game everyone loves to hate. but bro, its fun as fuck, and im good as fuck. i still slap the shit out of most esp for being on 50 base ping. but this hitching or whatever it is.. is impossible. game feels as though im playing through quicksand. i have to predict the future just to keep up. and im not slow by any sense of the phrase. please, please please help. i am reaching out through email as well! sorry for typos, and feel free to use my ignorance in a video to help others who may be experiencing the same. I9-9900kf rog maximus xi code mobo 32 gb ram 250 ssd for OS 2 tb for games and storage 850 psu huge water cooler for cpu gpu air cooled pc is meticulously cleaned inside and out every 6-8 months. setup is roughly 5 years old all storage is cleaned and defragmented with more then 60% available storage on both hard drives. all op updates are complete and all I/O device drivers are up to date. i have no clue how to test or isolate the exact issue im facing. please. for the love of all things PC and gamming. help a brother out!!! pleaseeeee

Thermal pads usually cover the VRAM, not the core/hotspot. So HWInfo is the right tool, but core temps are the wrong info to look at. Unfortunately it seems HWInfo didn't pick up any VRAM or VRM temps so it's impossible to say if it needs thermal pads without physically inspecting it.

The 2080 Super is slightly slower than a 3060ti. Overall a RTX 4060ti is slightly faster than a 3060ti. However in bandwidth limited situations it can perform slightly worse than a 3060ti. This is were the 2080 Super falls in performance wise in 2024.

One things that bothers me is your game recordings, even on other videos where you show that the game has 120+ fps but the gameplay feels like it was captured in 30 fps. Could you explain why? It’s not a hate comment, just looks odd comparing to the rest of the video

It's fine. 4th gen is the oldest I would recommend you go and it still uses DDR3. Imo the $200-400 budget segment is where you have a lot of buyers. For 4th gen, E3 1230 v3 and higher number (but v3) CPUs are great. Working on all OEM and consumer boards, even if not listed. But lower than 4th gen loses AVX2, higher than 4th gen uses DDR4 and is usually way too expensive for what it is, so AM4 or Chinese X99 becomes more worth it.

I would stay away from DDR3 builds. Simply because of age and lack of AV1 support. Focus on Broadwell E generation and after. It has performance for cheap PC’s and the compatibility.
