I think a beginner PC should have a Ryzen 7 3700X and a GTX 1080 or atleast a ryzen 7 2700x and a GTX 1070. These combos can run almost anything with stable framerates. Am I wrong?

I made a few slight tweaks to your list, only using stuff I found on amazon. Case, SSD, Power Supply, GPU are the same. I opted for the MSI 550 Gen 3 motherboard, the Ryzen 5 5500 (with cooler), and 32GB DDR4 3200 instead of 16. Total out the door cost $580.93 USD. Only a few tweaks to your build, and works beautifully! Thanks again, friend!

a little tip 9:33 never install the motherboard before the power supply. some high end motherboard have tall vrms and this will make it impossible to install the 8 cpu pin cable. install that connector before screwing down the motherboard

same applies to tower coolers you can keep that for the end it can also block the installation of the 8 pin connector

For power supplies, they are really easy to find for $15 or less. I recently bought one for $15 locally and there is one listed for $6 in my area right now. Have also seen other PSU's for around $10-15. The cheapest ones do have ketchup and mustard cables, though. The reason i spent $15 was to get all black cables

Cool Vid. Still got my B250, i5 6400, 1050 Ti, 256 SSD, 500 GB HDD, 16 GB DDR4 Mono-Channel (2016) which I upgraded with a RX 6600 and 500 GB SSD and 1 TB M.2 (late 2022). Now got Series X and PS5 and enjoy those exclusive single player story games natively on TV. No huzzle. And I got those games on disc and continue to sell on. I think, I will upgrade the PC when AM5 is more accessible with RAM also. And when I am through the game backlog and focus on more PC focussed games that run better there. Kingdom Come II, strategy games and maybe some shooter.

Also, what I find quite interesting with this example. I thought back in 2016 I said, I can continue to upgrade this platform, like second RAM slot, better CPU, better GPU, better storage. But I only upgraded the GPU and storage in those 6 years. I think, for me, next upgrade is the whole ecosystem to AM5 DDR5.

You can get GTX 1070 or 1070 Tis for around the same price as well, which offers 2GB more VRAM. The 5700XT is also an amazing budget card if you can get it for $130-150. It will perform 50-70% better than the 1660, S, Ti, and 1070 cards.

It all looks like fun , untill I tried pc flipping. Spended cash for second hand parts and build a pc for 199 - 299 and 449 euro. I know how to build , cable management , rgb fans , take nice pictures etc etc , 5 months now and nothing sold. For info , I live in Belgium EU , so PC flipping is a big fail over here. And if u are wondering if I overprice , the 199 euro pc has : amd ryzen 5 3600 , 32gb ram , gtx 1070 and 750 gb SSD storage. So why on earth can't I sell any of my pc's ?

Ryzen 2600 will not support Windows 11, and considering that the Am4 socket is no longer upgradeable, by paying 20 dollars more, the Ryzen 5 3600 combo with the B450 motherboard is worth buying and also has more power. Indeed, in the new update of Windows 11, the benchmark 3600 has improved by about 10 percent, and on the other hand, the 3600 supports PCI Gen 4.
