sequoia gets comfier when it’s fully loaded. because of how heavy it tows, the suspension is significantly stiffer to take on the the heavy weight. so when it’s under pressure is where it really settles in and becomes comfy. also the TRD PRO has stiffer side walls and off-road tires generally make a car feel slightly stiffer. if you are looking for comfort you should probably try the limited or platinum with no more than 20” wheels. it’s the way to go. also, the trd pros need at least 3000 miles till the suspension gets run in and gives you its max comfort

While I think the new Sequoia does many things well it lacks things for the price. I am referring to the Capstone trim level. The seats are too stiff, I felt like I was sitting on bleachers. The lack of a folding flat 3rd row is unacceptable when everyone else can do it. The hood is flimsy and flexes when you drive in a decent wind. Very sharp vehicle, I was let down when I actually saw it and drove it over 150 miles.

This is my first time owning a full sized SUV and after driving the ‘24 Sequoia Platinum for the past six weeks,here are my observations. First the seats are firmer compared to the Expedition Limited and Infinity QX80. Gas Mileage 13-15MPG City 18-23MPG Hwy. it is more fuel efficient to use “Normal” mode when driving on city streets with stop and go traffic. Full tank on a road trip is approximately 450miles. The drive is very comfortable. There’s seems to be an issue with the power liftgate. If you opened the rear hatch and not made sure it was completely shut, you will have the error tone when using the liftgate. Indoor cabin is very quiet, ventilated and heated seats are very comfortable. The vehicle does not have the Toyota “Digital Key”but the Toyota App for remote start and lock/unlock works. I am unsure why it was not available. For charging your phones, this comes with both USB A and USB C ports. It doesn’t have the traditional “cigarette adapter”.

Doug bought the ultimate dad car, this is basically a disguised minivan
@justinsalazar90707 ай бұрын
Just got this ride we have 2 kids so it’s perfect if you got more rascals go up in size. I really don’t get the complaint on space when 3rd moves and folds and then you fold out the shelve and it flattens out. We went to Sam’s and what I usually put in my Silverado fit easily in the Sequoia . We traded our Mazda CX90 for this. Way more space, sits higher, great warranties and packages, hybrid system feels nothing like a hybrid. And the drive at 80-90 is still so smoothe far superior to my Silverado. Really don’t get the complaints 🧐

I traded in my 2022 Suburban (lemon, had 5 trips to the dealer to fix issues in 5 months) for the new 2023 Sequoia (1 year with ZERO issues). I have two small kids, so the 3rd row works perfectly for my use case. It's also so much more fun to drive, it does 0-60 in 5ish seconds. I also receive compliments all the time. I've never had a car before that gets so many comments from people. It's also nice to have a car that you almost never see on the road.

@@welmoepics That's either a big cap or a big red flag. Let's say he is driving fast, at max that's gonna cut an hour, maybe two. Still leaving 20 hours non-stop driving? That is at least extremely dangerous. I drove several times 8-12 hours and I definitely wasn't fit to go further safely. He claims going double the distance in one ride. So he either is capping or half the way he was a danger to himself and anyone around him. Red flag. Especially with a family to take care of. lol

Oklahoma is a big state. Google says 18h 51m to my stopping point, but keep in mind you're working with time zones when you're going west. So you pick up and hour and you go a bit above the speed limit; I think I did it in about 17.

Family of 6. We had a sequoia for 6 years. It was a huge tank. Reliable and dependable. So roomy inside. The drivers seat needed to lower as my head was in the ceiling. Hope they fixed that. The storage space in the trunk wasn’t good. If you are going across the country you will need a roof rack or tow hitch box. Sold it for a new Sienna minivan. While it doesn’t off road or tow, it beats the sequoia in every other way. 3 times the gas mileage. 5 times the storage space. Smoother, quieter. Easier to live with with sliding doors and easier to park. Our other vehicle is a model x. Shockingly it is a perfect road trip car for 6. Tons of storage for soft bags. Great tech. Best self driving. Amazing windshield and oh it has 1000hp and goes 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. But no it alas is not an off road vehicle.
