That was State Route 108, otherwise known as the Notch Road. It's the best motorcycle road in the state, but it's unfortunately often congested with tourists in vans. Every single year (without fail), a tour bus tries to go up it (despite giant signs that say "NO BUSES, NO TRUCKS") and gets stuck. Look up "truck stuck VT RT 108" and you'll see what I mean.

I recognized it from the video before you mentioned Johnson or Stowe. There is a mountain road that goes almost to the top of the mountain (not the road you were on through 'the notch'), it's not a paved regular road, and it's got more curves and dropoffs.

On these engines watch out for a common problem "going limp" its an issue with the electronic throttle body that'll show on the dash as a red lightning bolt icon. The repair is replacing the whole body but it seems like its running good especially up hill which is good. To test this is mainly is to rev the engines with some quick revs and the symbol would briefly come on. I know it doesn't seem like any issue here but I'd thought I'd share anyway if you were to buy another car with the same engine it's happened to me before and we honestly didn't know what was going on. Good Luck on this thing it seems to be a great buy

P.S this isn't about politics guy's the vast majority of those in healthcare highly recommend wearing masks when out in public or away from your primary residence. Just like I generally trust a doctor to diagnose me correctly I'm going to trust their expertise in this situation we're all in.

Which I knew someone like you here. Been looking for a bit for a used car. Going to be my first car ever but I’m a noob when it comes to those so I’m not sure what is good and isn’t. If a bought something that failed then that’d be it.

I'll never live in an inspection state. I love being able to buy beaters and drive them with no hassle. Cars rust through and fail much less often than people think. Very few people will drive a car if they know the frame's bad. You never hear about accidents because cars were too old and rusted through where I live. You'll see the rustiest trucks towing 1.5 times their load rating and it's fine.

In my VT experience the whole inspection thing is a waste of time. I used to take my cars to a guy in Hinesburg. He was in the house in a wheelchair. I'd come in, he'd ask me 'how are the brakes, how are the wipers, do all the lights work, then send me out with a razor scraper and a fresh inspection sticker.

I always love your Stuff . Just a real suggestion on this one . I’m fairly sure you don’t transfer all the titles to yourself first then sell them . But being it has a bad subframe and that looks very bad I would definitely fix it before selling it . If it sells and that frame breaks . The people will go after whoever’s name it was registered too . Lawsuit city . I do cars myself but I stay far away from any frame issues . Luckily that frame came be replaced rather cheap . But around where I live I can get those Jeeps all day for 300-400 bucks

Here in Sweden all new cars is sold with undercoating. Of course everything rust here, but I am stunned to see a roughly ten year old car with rust. Here in Sweden all cars usually last arond 12-16 years or so before bad things happen. I guess it´s due to all manufacturers see Sweden as an "extreme climate". But howcome cars that are sold in "salty states" in the US gets the same treatment? I am starting to wonder about this since watching a lot of videos where cars that are still considered "newer" in Sweden are often rusted out in the states. Fun fact, I welded a few small holes under my Volvo 940 with 550000k on the clock. It looked good but the undercoating was so tough that the inspection missed the rust. The old rust protection was almost as hard as good metal. :))

BTW: My only American car is a Chrysler Voyager from 1994. Been a daily driver and work vehicle since new and seen many salty vinters. It doesn´t look nice underneath for sure, but it hasn´t needed it´s first enconter with a welder yet.
