Nice car, and it's one I intend to get but a 2015 model and of course a black-on-black with a blackout grille as you can never go wrong with a black color. I'm still torn between the competition package which is my #1 choice and the 650M package because of snow, unfortunately I live in a region where winter takes half the year. The interior of these cars was, and unfortunately for BMW, still is the most beautiful in the industry. The new 8's are a massive step backwards in terms of design. Also, the back of this car, is very close to automotive perfection. BMW screwed themselves with this car, it's so beautiful! If you haven't seen one in person, you owe it to yourself to go find one. Only reason I sold my'18 M6 was because it was RWD and couldn't use anywhere near all the power it had. San Marino Blue, Sakhir orange with black wheels, OMG!

I’ve seen a few M8’s in person at the dealer and agree. The interior isn’t as nice as it should have been. The AWD is the best thing about the M8. The M6 has trouble putting its power to the wheels. I don’t plan to replace it anytime soon but we are getting my wife a BMW i4 M50 hopefully next year.

Let’s see…I released this video in 2021. That means at that time I had the Z50 with 16-50 kit lens. These days I use the Z8 with 40mm F2 or D780 with 24-120mm. The Z6 is a good camera for video

I do 15k miles a year - so went for a 640i gc as a daily. Been tempted by m cars but always held back. Done 30k miles in mine in 2 years and its been flawless.

Whole other level. I wouldn’t even put them in the same class. I loved the mustang, it was super fun and loved that it was stick. But I’m super happy with the m6. The interior alone is the best i’ve ever been in thus far. I do know the newer mustangs have gotten better especially the 2020+ models but I’d still take this. Gas mileage between the two are very close.

Yes 2017 car. It still had 1 year factory warranty left when I bought it. Also it was certified pre-owned from bmw dealer so it had 1 year additional certified pre-owned warranty on top of factory warranty

the trunk doesnt open trust me. I think they designed it to open but they did a horrible job. I complained about thisnhad my dealer replace the trunk struts did. not even last a week before it returned to not opening.

The trunk is supposed to open, my friend works at bmw and confirmed this too. But you are right, they did a bad job with design. Mine only opened in spring/summer but never did in winter and rarely in fall. If you haven’t seen it I replaced it with automated tailgate system

I guess you’re not familiar with the LCI’s ( 2016-2019, your car ) revised motor... which is a tad more reliable then the Pre LCI (2014-2015). Everything is the same except the front headlights & taillights, the infotainment display, & the revised motor

21:32 i mentioned headlights and idrive difference. Tail lights are the same, my friend has 14 m6 gran coupe back is identical. Motor is mostly the same. They use newer injectors so yes they are more reliable, but the previous models are covered by a bmw warranty as well, that’s how my friend got a new motor for his 14. Can’t go wrong with either year of the gran coupes.

I am looking into purchasing a Sakhir Orange 2014 M6GC with 20k miles on the clock for 33k USD I feel like that's an amazing deal the only issue is the interior, it's also Sakhir Orange leather I think it clashes terribly with the exterior so I don't know what should I do, do you think the deal is so good that I should overlook the orange interior or wait for a different one to come up on the market?

If you plan to keep the car for awhile, choose the combo that you want. I searched for awhile and when I saw the one I bought I knew I wanted that one. Dealer didn’t want to come down on price at first so I kept looking for weeks. It finally worked out and I bought it. I definitely paid more than it was worth but I wanted that color combo and I plan to keep it for awhile. Even if I found a deal too good to be true I would have bought mine if it meant giving up the color combo/packages.

@@cs.studios The thing is where I am from there are only 4 or 5 for sale and all of them have over 75k miles on them this is the only one that's low millage and the spec is perfect except for the interior. I think of how good the deal is I am willing to overlook the interior color I will check out the car tomorrow to see it in person and go through it with my buddy from BMW, if everything checks out I might be joining the M6 club, thanks for your review buddy you should definitely do more videos on the car in terms of ownership perspective.

Idrive for 2016/2017 is identical. They use ID5. 2014/2015 used the older vertical style ID4. 2018+ uses the live tile ID6. I converted mine to the ID6
