It's a multiplayer game where 1 player plays on the GBA via a link cable as PAC man who can see the whole maze while 3 others played as the ghosts with a limited view around them on the TV screen who all chase him.

I love Yu Gi Oh: The Falsebound Kingdom. I always bring it up in recommendations whenever I can. It's a weird real time tower defense with turn based battles game. You start by setting up your "marshals" with a team of up to three monsters based on Yu Gi Oh cards. You'll then begin a campaign where you have a goal to either beat everyone or to capture a certain base. You'll start in your base and you'll send your marshals out to capture other bases. The second monster is the one that will be displayed on screen. This will affect walking speed and the size of your contact radius. There's also a terrain bonus. If you bump into an enemy marshal or are ambushed by monsters you'll switch to a turn based battle screen. There you'll have a limited amount of moves for each monster based on their star levels. The higher the star levels, the more moves you'll have each battle. The battle ends when a team is wiped out or no more moves can be made. In which case there's also a scoring system that will determine the winner. You gain experience for winning battles for the monsters and the marshals. Stats and star levels go up for monsters and they'll learn special attacks are certain levels depending on the monster. You can also unlock unite attacks between certain monsters as well. The marshals can gain passives as levels increase. The monsters and marshals have colors associated with them. It's best to try and match the colors. However constant fighting will begin to change the colors to match. You can equip each monster with up to three items. Armor, weapons or consumable items. Some items can even "evolve" a monster into a stronger monster. Some monsters have equipment only they can use that will boost their attack by a ton or will unlock special attacks. There's an item that can even fuse your monsters together in battle to form a new monster but it's only for that battle. When you take over bases, you can spend money to unlock up to two facilities. Tower defenses, extra healing, stores and so on. Each base's store has different stock and you might have to go out of your way to find something good. These items are expensive though and money is difficult to come by. However you can input the Konami Code at any time while on a map to gain money. But you'll have to do it repeatedly. There's a ton of time to kill anyway so might as well just keep doing it. The whole game works as a new game plus. In that after you beat one character's story, you can take all the monsters, items and levels you gained and start the other story. Marshals don't carry over though. Once you do the second, a third story will open up. You'll need to do this to get all the monsters as some you only get in one route and their partner in another. Or you'll want to regain monsters you upgraded previously. The best thing is that the enemies will scale to you so you'll always have a challenge. The scoring system for battles is a tad unfair at time. You can kill two enemies and knock the third down to one hit point while taking no damage yourself and still manage to lose the battle due to the score. If you miss to many times for instance. A neat trick is to know which monsters fuse and put them on a team equipped with the fusion items. When they're down to one star, fuse them together and you'll have a new monster with a bunch of stars to continue the battle and you'll gain a lot of points. Admittedly it's slow and plodding though and is kinda dull to look at. But I really enjoyed the battle system in it. There's two similar games on the PS2. Similar in the fact that they have nothing to do with the actual card game or even the dice spin off game. Capsule Monster Coliseum and Duelist of the Roses. Capsule Monster Coliseum is a tactical turn based RPG. The monsters move similar to chess pieces in that they each have their own moment style instead of just moving them in any spot in their movement range. It also scales as you keep replaying. Duelist of the Roses is difficult to explain. It's card based in general but not in a "normal" way. It's map based again and you'll have a "deck master" which is a monster you'll set as it. You'll lay cards out on the map that you can move around, even magic and trap cards. The point is the move along the map and beat the opponent. The map squares each have something terrain effects. It's been a while since I played that one though. They're an interesting trio of games. Games before and since have all been based on one of the two Yu Gi Oh associated games (cards or dice) in some way. Some of the earlier games did have different takes on the card game but they still played mostly the same. The rest are just simulators of some sort. But that trio of games (Duelist of the Roses, Capsule Monster Coliseum and The Falsebound Kingdom) were great and quite different. Most probably passed on them thinking they were just more card game simulators of some sort and they weren't. They were different styles of turn based RPGs.

Dude Yu-Gi-Oh is awesome I played the PS1 and PS2 but not the GameCube one it sounds fun the way you're explaining it
@grahf4215
@grahf4215 7 күн бұрын
@@dbfuture4881 It was fun as far as I'm concerned. I've played through all three stories a few times. It's just this weird mix of play styles that surprisingly went well together. It was fun gathering all the monster pairs. There were three BEWDs and each had their own name. They had a unite attack as well as the fusion, obviously. The Gemini Elves were split up into two separate named monsters that have to be recruited separately and have a unite attack. The Swamp and Lava Battleguards are recruited separately and have a unite attack. Moisture Creature is the most difficult monster to obtain and sucks as it will only ever have like 3 stars total due to how "powerful" a card it was in real life. In this game, the lower the average attack and defense it had as a real card, the higher the stars it had for moves in this game. The higher the average attack and defense it had as a card, the less stars it gets but they're also more powerful in general. It wasn't that bad of a tradeoff. I wish Konami made more games like this. I wish Konami made more games in general. They need to stop sitting on their hands and release Suikoden 1 & 2 HD already. I wouldn't even mind if they made another of those Yu Gi Oh games with the deck limits again. They made a bunch of them on the GBA but then stopped. That era in gaming is when they stopped making the Yu Gi Oh video games that were more than just standard card game simulators.

Jon to answer your question about the R Racing Evolution game and Pac-Man Vs. Back in 2003 or so to promote the GameCube and GBA connectivity with each other, Nintendo partnered with Namco to create Pac-Man Vs. a game which required the GBA and Link cable to promote the feature. The game came bundled with one of the three following Namco titles: Pac-Man World 2 (The most common way to find Pac-Man Vs. as the Player's Choice edition of Pac-Man World 2 came with the game as a double pack), I-Ninja, and R Racing Evolution. Fun Fact: Pac-Man VS. is narrated by the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet.

R racing is a really cool racing game. Basically, in the beginning your character is a girl that is an ambulance Driver and she rest a wounded racing guy. And she got to the hospital extremely fast and the guy that was inside the ambulance took notice of how fast she got there and how she drove and basically offered her a spot in the racing circuit. That’s pretty much kayak how the story is and you just start racing and you do have a rival. Overall, it’s a great game in my opinion I still got my original copy from back in the day.
