There's plenty of them out there. I'm one of them. However it often comes down to the type of car. If you're looking for great deals on cars that are in really good shape, then it's really hard to be a story seller because buyers cannot possibly understand how much better it is to pay upfront than to pay on the back end. They quote things like KBB values for rare, older cars in amazing condition.

@@leviolson3977 for the right person, it might if the rest of the vehicle is immaculate and unmolested. Want an original 92 typhoon that was red with silver cladding, rust free? 344 others produced. You'd be lucky if 100 still exist in the world. With under 60K on the clock - good luck. Happy hunting. I mean - it's NOT like it's a rare and desirable vehicle. It's not that the truck "can't be worth that" - it just wasn't worth it for Alex's purposes here. The center caps for the wheels alone missing on the black truck will probably cost at least $300 to replace. It takes thousands to really bring something back from the dead - and these trucks were notorious for spinning bearings. So yes - he found one for 10k - but it needs a ton of work (which is good for his channel) but EVERYTHING inside is in rough shape, the motor is a mystery, and it's a TMU vehicle . That's why Channels like these don't really keep running totals of all the costs for everything. When he's done - he likely won't be far off from what the other would have cost (all in) - and it'll still be a stolen recovery with true mileage unknown. Need a reference - go look up what an immaculate 87 Grand National goes for. There were over 20,000 of those - just for that year. Another 5,500 for 86. Another 2,100 for 85. Another 2,000 for 84. 547 GNXs were ever produced. About 4,700 Typhoons were ever produced. EVER. There's probably half that still in existence today, and MOST of those are probably baskets cases sitting around for years - like this one. His goal here - was looking for something to provide content, and that's what he paid for.

One thing that stresses me out is a compromised/dirty cooling system. I change mine at recommended intervals. I change all my fluids. Anyway I appreciate how you fix your stuff, very thorough

Always loved the typhoon. I live in metro detroit and remember seeing one leaving the dealer back in 93 or 94. When it took off, the rear end squatted, and it was gone! The sound of them turbos was beautiful. Love at first sight. It's good to see Alex fixing it properly. I'm enjoying every step so far.

Loved this one! I’m 53. ALMOST bought a used red 1992 Typhoon back in 1995 when I was stationed in CA (USAF). The dealer let me keep it for 24 hrs. Had SOOO much fun with it! Ultimately, couldn’t quite afford it on a 2Lt salary. Haha.

Oh boy I'm excited about this one I know you've been looking for a typhoon for a long time I actually just saw one driving down the road and Spokane I was surprised cuz I've never seen one an actual person!! This is going to be a good watch and a great start to my Saturday I was kind of worried that we weren't going to see a video because of the Wednesday upload but legit street cars and Alex always comes through a rock on brother

I had a 1997 GMC, with a V6 Vortec engine. I had it four years, while I was in Alaska. Ran well. No issues. I drove it all over Alaska and sold it in Las Vegas. I initially bought it new in N.C.

A friend of mine owned a very rare All blacked out 98 Chevy S-10 SS I don't know how many they made but it was an Amazing Tire Shredding little Truck it had every option available even hard tonneau cover with big SS in the center and factory alarm.

Alex's wife: Hey hun, just checking in. Are you still doing the GMC Typhoon video? Alex: Hey! OMG yes - we're so close to getting this thing started. Did I tell you Marvin said we could stay the night and use his tools? Alex's wife: Yes you did, 15 days ago...

Excited to watch this series. I remember these from the 90’s. Although I was too young to know about horsepower. My neighbor had one and the just looked fast.

Man I'm like you, same age, and these were the ultimate bank in the day in my mind. I remember sitting in one of my classes in high school watching videos in lower than 144p video quality on some random website because KZbin wasn't a thing yet and found a video of a Typhoon doing the most insane awd doughnuts I'd ever seen in my life and wanted one ever since. These new classic 90's car videos are my favorite! Keep collecting all the good ones!

That DOT code at 22:43 means that those tires where made in week 43 of either 1989 or 1999. So even if they aren't dry rotted they should be replaced due to their age. They stopped using three digit DOT numbers in 2000, so f.e. if it would have been from 2009 the number would be 4309

Usually there is an arrow after the date, pointing to the left is 80's, pointing to the right is 90's. But there isn't one on these, so I would assume 99

@legitscreetcars, you all should Purchase a nice 300ZX 90-96…! The BEST JDM car of the 1990s. It won all the awards, accomplishments, highlights from all magazines, websites and publications. And to the kid naysayers, no it wasn’t the Supra… check the facts.

I had a Marlboro cyclone poster on my wall.. I drove rich friends race rigged cyclones and typhoons in high school… today I drive a simple long range model 3 and every light is just as fun tbh. Loved these in their day so much.

Marvin's a true car guy! Like a majority of the community, let you use his shop, a fair price for the typhoon too, I think most of us are built like him, then we have the 25k guy.....the typical Facebook "I know what I got no low balls" total crackhead and I hope he gets help!
