That's actually a pretty funny story. I've been in situations like that and I've just asked "Hey is it alright if I just pee anywhere?" Usually people are cool with it but even if they aren't they will probably let you go inside and use a washroom. Either way you're set. Another thing I find funny is how much of an issue rust is in your state. For somewhere where cars rust so badly, I would think the laws would be a little more forgiving for what's acceptable on the road so long as the rust isn't diminishing the structural integrity of the vehicle at which point it becomes dangerous. A truck like that would be legal on the roads where I live and I'd drive it just like that haha.

I see trucks every day, usually dodges, with the rocker panels just rusted right through, cab corners that you can just kick in, and beds that just flop around while driving. Fenders too.

Is that "local" scrap yard a pick 'n' pull? Looks like it is? Also for the radio look up GM Class 2 Data bus radios. I assume no sound as it does not have the red LED or locked on the display. If it say "Cal Error" on power up it is not programmed for that vehicle as it was probably hacked as it was not the original unit and they removed the EEPROM it should work but with that message. Is so the amp is bad or a wiring issue somewhere else. Also for Vermont 40 minutes is local LoL!
