Fairy core can also have a grungey 90’s vibe with long skirts, tanks layered with ripped meshy tops, and thick socks with Mary Janes or docks! Think Fiona Apple or Mazy Star in the 90’s meets cottage core.

As a folklorist and mythologist, I'd just like to say, don't worry. Most fairies in folklore do not have wings. The wings were a Victorian-era theater invention to differentiate fairies from humans onstage. So, you can look like a legit fairy without wings!

Loved that final look, the lacy long sleeve top with the gold corduroys! Your reddish color Docs would go nicely with that, yes? And since the white sweater was so lightweight and a little sheer could you put that OVER (or under) the pretty blue cami top and let its colors show thru the sweater and pair that with the white skirt? The black Docs and black fishnets feel dark and heavy with that white outfit - maybe white fishnets and your white Docs if you still have them? Fun fun video and cute styling. Just tossing out some other options for ya 💕

I love this style one you! OMG My youngest (20) is terrified of butterflies as well. I made a fairy garden for a fairy festival, they released butterflies...on the drive home we realized we were bringing all the butterflies home with our garden...My daughter was screaming..... Some of the prettiest fairy clothes i have seen is when someone finds an old formal gown with tulle and dyes it the color they want. they also cut or tear the hem to get the petal like hem. Could the skirt actually be a strapless dress?
