So I bought a lovely Honda Valkyrie, it needs some tlc but hopefully we'll be doing a first ride VERY soon :)

Holy Jesus Christ on a motorcycle. I'm not a cruiser guy in any way, but you seem to have a knack for picking the few ones that I do like - first the Magna and now the Valkyrie. Since that's 50% of all the cruisers that I have a fondness towards, I'll take this as a sign that you'll own the other two in the future as well. So best of luck with the Vmax and Rocket once you get there :)

Nice bike! What year is it? Never rode one but I have ridden the Wing version of it. Is a centerstand available for it? All the wings have them. They're so convenient!

It's a 1997, I'd imagine they ride very similarly, from what I've read over the years the Valkyrie is a bit more nimble than a wing. Not sure actually but I must check.

That Valkyrie is going to be slick once you get her going down the road. I saw a video not to long ago where somebody made a cafe racer out of a gold wing, stripped all the body work and did lots of custom fab work but it sounded really mean!! Brickhouse builds, eh...I will have to check that out.

Some nice rumbly pipes on there so it can shout at people and we'll be golden :) That sort of thing was honestly my inspiration back when I was looking at that Goldwing, I think they turn out so so cool. He makes some great videos!

I worked on a few when I worked for Honda. Great bike with out all the b/s the Goldwings were carrying around. The last stripped down GLs was 1982. 1100 flat4. Not even a windshield 👍

From an aesthetic point of view, the second Valkyrie from 10 or so years ago appeals to me more. That one’s a lot more Gold Wing-esque, though. I don’t know all that much about the bikes, so it’ll be fun to see your future videos and get a better sense of what it’s all about!

I'm on my third Valkyrie now, and after experiencing them it's hard to imagine anything coming close at any price, and within their price range there's nothing that can touch them. At least, in my biased opinion! LOL Can't wait to see what all you do to it! I just got my third one not too long ago and am trying to slowly fix her up.

@@TheGorillaBiker I swapped it for his KLR650. The comparative value doesn't matter. Geez I'm having a blast wringing that thing's throttle and brakes just on trips to the shops! I have another great bike for roads and he has a GS for dirt fun, so I got his little "dirt bike" and he got the gorgeous Valkyrie. It has Ultimate V King seats which are the most comfortable of any seats I've ever sat on. I also had a Goldwing 1800 and the 1500 Valk seemed more punchy in power.

Personally I think it's what most cruisers now are missing, a GL1500 with hot cams and just oddly good looks. And beefy. I don't know why the Japanese few stopped making big beasts like this. It'll be ideal for some of the boring roads here, I might even enjoy them(I won't hold my breath for that). Haha probably not, I've never found one to fit 😂

I have a Valkyrie Interstate in Emerald Green/Silver with 50000 miles. I get lots of compliments esp from the Harley guys , even a guy with a CVO who for some reason just loved it. However, now that I choppered out my 96 Sporty Stage 4 I might sell the Valk

Nice!! Mine is only at half that so plenty of life in it once I have it running :) I think it's probably just because it's a very classically styled bike, I don't see it ever looking "aged" as a lot of designs tend to do! Ah fair enough, can't keep them all unfortunately!
