Lauran only a true horse lover can make the most difficult decision of selling a horse rather than let it waste away while there owners life takes different turns....I take students horses here as I remember the heart break after having to sell my horse going off to collage...only to find out my school has a team and I could have taken him to collage with me...equine studies...the ppl who bought him said he was for there daughter..it was a lie because we went back to try buy him back but the sold him the day after we sold him, it took 5 months to find him, he was lame and thin and we paid a grand more than we sold him for ..it didn’t matter to us it was a big mistake that we sold him at alls but all’s well that ends well...so I take ppl who are going off for school and can’t bring them selves to sell.....as long as a horse is not standing in a box doing nothing or out in a field alone forgotten about I understand....,it’s the ppl who think if they are clean and fed there fine that I could kill....

The way Sureno holds himself, he commands respect but his eyes are so kind. Truly a gentle giant. His movements are fluid and graceful and he looks like he was made for the arena as well as the battlefield. If you're in the US, check out the places in your state that rescue and rehab horses. There are thousands looking for loving homes. Or if you have someone to help you train one, the BLM has over 50,000 wild mustangs with some auctions starting at $25. They even have a program that will pay you $1,000 after you've had one for a year and taken good care of it. Check out Elisa Wallace Eventing to see some examples of what love, patience and proper training can do.

I would highly recommend not getting a horse from the BLM, if you don't have lots of experience training sensitive horses from the ground up. The horses deserve people with lots of experience who can teach them how to be a good horse "cit zen". They are cheap for a reason - they are mostly untouched! There is nothing wrong with taking lessons, or leasing horses, until you are ready to take on a horse financially.

I am happy with the lusitano stallion foal I bought for 2k with a very promising lineage ;) And gorgeous looks btw, he's a bayo pinto/ tricolor. A better investment than that horse for sure. Now THAT is an opinion btw.

Especially with such a high budget available. I've seen extremely great Lusitanos or PRE's for 50k, extremely lightfooted and gifted and with absolutely breath taking trot and canter. It's just a surprise for sure, that he settles for yet another grey with mediocre movements. Tho, of course, the horse can improve with lots of training! And thank you!

I've been in that situation where it was in the best interest of the horse to find a new home where he can have a job and it is so heartbreaking I see her sadness of having to say goodbye but what a wonderful home! He will be safe and loved with there other horses :)

Matt you have a very beautiful stallion there. I've seen this on Instagram, and loved it. So what I have to say here is your going to be reading a lot of things from people who are so ate up with jealousy and ignorance that its pathetic just ignore them they are not worth you wasting your time on. For the fools who think that Matt buys horses just to play with then put in a box, I truly feel sorry for you. Why because you have not taken the time to really watch and listen to Matt. He is one of the kindest and gentle individual with all of his horses. They are not trinkets. He cherishes each one from his heart. Maybe it's all you can do to take care and ride one horse but he does divide his time equally. You people are so quick to judge WHY? He is a very caring and loving young man who LOVES ALL OF HIS ANIMALS. Wish more people would take the time to be more caring instead of judgemental. He works hard for what he has and takes the right steps to care for each. For someone who is so young and can provide and care for what he has and do it with kindness and understanding is fantastic. Those are up with hate and jealousy clean up your own backyard before you go berating someone who has his act together. BEST ALWAYS RUSTY

He is absolutely beautiful! I foresee him becoming your number one dressage horse. Much better conformation than Emporio, hate to say, but true.
