I ended up going with the TYM equivalent, just the tractor and loader with no addons. I have the industrial tires with no added weight anywhere on the tractor and have yet to get stuck. In 4 low these little tractors can go just about anywhere. If you plan to plow with the bucket, I would absolutely get some clamp on shoes. Even on pavement they are great because you can aggressively angle the bucket to cut through hardpack and ice without ruining your driveway surface or grass. I checked out these JD's and they are awesome machines, very impressive power for their size!

If you're looking to get the rear tires "loaded" for ballast, check out foaming over beet juice. With the foam, you will never get a flat or have to worry about air pressure. You should of put that tractor in rabbit range and gave it "the beans."
@skywatcherranchswrАй бұрын
Well congratulations sir! You will view your sears tractors differently now lol. You did all the things right away, that took me years to do with my Kioti cx2510. Ballast is huge, that cab is huge for snow removal so your face doesn't freeze off, you got your attachments right away, I wish I had done that. Well done. This spring and summer I recommend a piranha tooth bar from Bxpanded. Helps a ton with dirt work. Looking forward to your future videos!
@mainelymediaАй бұрын
Thank you so much, I did all the research I could. I agree a tooth bar is in the works right now. I was told the same thing, but there’s so many options. I will look into that brand that you mentioned.

Nice tractor!! I have Brand new 2025R with Mauser Cab! HD 54in blower and 60 in mowing Deck. Cant wait to use it this winter. Should of went with the JD Quick Hitch. You can use all the weights.
@joebarrett9830Ай бұрын
During the summer months, I removed my doors from the cab. I put eye hooks on the posts of my pole barn and used the door pins to hang them on the post. Store them right along the side of the wall of the pole barn. The engine heat will also enter the cab during winter and summer months. So during the summer, you want that heat to get out as quickly as possible otherwise you will cook in the cab with sun beating through the glass and heat from engine coming into the cab.
@mainelymediaАй бұрын
Wow yeah that’s a great idea. I’ll have to do the same thing for door storage!

I have a Kubota BX23s and looking at the JD now 1025R with cab and snowblower again like I have now. How much out the door with all the extras minus your plow blade? My local dealer got a Nor Easter package with loader and snowblower tomorrow I plan talking about it to the dealer. But I do admit Ive had my BX for 3 years and absolutely love it and its been awesome for snow removal her in CT for me
@mainelymediaАй бұрын
Prices are different everywhere, and to be honest most tractors at this level are all basically the same. So if you really like your Kubota you might want stick with what you know. I just picked JD for the looks and how well known they are. If you pay under $40k you’re golden. My 1025r was $30k and the blower was $5,200 I believe.
@frankwrogg2515Ай бұрын
I really would have expected them to install the blower options for what you spent, would they do what you want may be another question.
@mainelymediaАй бұрын
No no I told them not to, I wanted to install all that myself.
@JohnBraman413Ай бұрын
get the tires filled for added weight.
@mainelymediaАй бұрын
Not a bad option, but I want to be able to remove weight as needed and that kind of weight can’t be removed as easy. The cab already weighs a lot so I don’t need more that can’t be removed.
@loutoolguy2644Ай бұрын
IMHO you aren’t looking at this correctly. You want your tires loaded first because there is no transaxle stress. You will not be removing rear ballast like you think. I put 880lbs in a smaller tractor and leave it. The lower the weight the better. You are going to have a blast with your new 1025R
@mainelymedia7 күн бұрын
Again I want to be able to remove the weight for different applications. The tractor is heavy enough and leaves massive ruts in the yard. If i get the tires filled I cant remove that weight. For what Im doing I don't need no where near 800lbs on there. The 500lbs thats removable is plenty for what I'm doing currently.

@mainelymedia is it for releasing the bucket easier? Would I need it if I just leave my bucket on all the time? Why do you need it?
