Hello I’m James (Jay’s) brother. It killed me to get rid of his stuff but it was his wishes there was more stuff trust me that friends and family got first . I’m 16 and have a record collection with some sick stuff in it. A lot of it has been passed down from generations and relatives and it is really special to be able to enjoy other people’s music - I think if a lot of them were around still they would be happy it hasn’t been forgotten. Hopefully this man is the same

10:52 is Laaz Rockit. My dad was the bassist, he passed a few years ago in a motorcycle accident. I just recently started collecting vinyl. It made me super happy to see that record. Thank you.

As I’m sure you’re aware, some of that early black metal stuff was pressed in such small quantities and is worth a TON! Doesn’t sound very good to me, but still cool as far as collectible vinyl. I hope those records go to people who are gonna listen to and enjoy it, and not try n flip it! Flippers SUCK!

Yes, it is very sad. He had lots of comics and music equipment that were sold as well. It’s devastating to go through everything and getting to know him and his taste. Very sad indeed.

Ohhh my... the former owner used to love Progressive Rock; there are a lot of goodies in his collection: King Crimson, Camel, Rush, Steven Wilson, Univers Zero (from Belgium), MDK from french band Magma... I am speechless. And of course, lots of Iron Maiden, some Messhuga, Mastodon and I think I saw a great masterpiece from Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucía, that album is amazing. Hopefully, I will have a collection like that. Great vid!

17:12 - this is great! It’s experimental Russian techno! It’s a small Russian label called “Trip” (Трип), and the LP’s are “Arthur and the Intergalactic Whales” by Bjarki and compilation of artists from this label “When I Was 14”.

Dude thats a nice find! I have about 1000 original vinyl all in the hard rock and heavy metal genre. These I bought in the 70's and 80's and still play daily. Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Girlschool, The Runaways, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Van Halen, Hammerfall, Krokus, Dokken, Ratt, etc etc.. to name a few. Enjoy!

Pay attention for Igra Staklenih Perli, prog rock from late 70 s, Belgrade, Serbia. Very rare and expensive, if has a white label it is first press. Cheers from Serbia.

As you're a bit of a music aficionado you may find it interesting that the Nektar album was recorded in quadrophonic sound. I sold my copy last year after owning it for 30 years and I never got the opportunity to listen to it in that manner.

Nice one, even a few prog albums ;) You flipped past 2 albums I think you ought to listen to before selling. Blåkulla- Swedish prog (1975) that has its moments, played it on my way home from work today ;). Igra Staklenih Perli- Yugoslavian (Floyd-inpired band) that should be right up your alley. Take care!

Love your channel. And I just can not believe what I just saw here. After the Tom Petty LP, at 12:42, you ran over one of the rarest and most searched record from one obscure psychedelic band from Yugoslavia from 70's. Band name is 'Igra staklenih perli' or translated 'The Glass Bead Game'. They released that record back in the 70's in like 3000 copies. This just blows my brain.

That was a smart move to let the friend pick what he wanted (as long as it's not a dealer). Now in addition to getting some inventory, he has another customer who will tell 10 more people about Noble records. That's how a good business works. A collector won't be into everything in the collection and if they are, they probably have a good portion of it.

My brother and I collected 100’s of metal cassette tapes for years.. “they were cheap,we were poor” he had that Badlands!...it and one called “circus of power” he would never let me borrow.... I’m sure the internet has all the answers but I remember everything he’d never let me borrow...if he didn’t loan it,it was very rare/valuable. His prize was one called “masi” I think Udo,Disneyland after dark. “Actual band Name ! 😂” He started buying up c.d’s and vinyl...I went with him to a place and watched him pay ungodly amounts for some things...that delirious nomad,and Helix were among them. I’m glad I clicked this video!!,you showing records,but all I see is my brother and me hanging out...😂 and the smell of cheap motorcycle jackets Thanks !!
