Orang-Utan was originally a band called Hunter. That album was recorded in a single afternoon! Their manager stole the master and ran off to the USA and released it secretly under the name Orang-Utan. The band never received a penny.

I love seeing how big you smile talking about these groups that I don’t even know yet. You truly love this stuff and it shows. That’s the best part. Also, my camera roll is peppered with screenshots of you holding up jackets 👍. My one grail that I’ve actively been hunting is Deftones’ 2011 Vinyl Collection. I know its newer and I know its more mainstream but the hobby is relatively new to me. The limited nature of the release has kept it out of reach. I’ve never seen one in the wild and the ones online I think are too far inflated

I have Eternitys' Children. It IS good! Love your channel (especially your collection) [and that chair!]. Gotta be comfy for listening! I was a keyboard player before my life went away about 30 years ago, when I lost my other half. Now a refined recluse, specializing in non-existance. Have a 1938 Hammond BC wired for 3 Leslie 147s and a tone cabinet out of a church. [IE -- the nomenclature BC.] Modified Korg M1, & Ensoniq EPS Sampler w/ memory expansion. (Where the records come in) I only have a couple of tons of vinyl, 33,45,78... Rarest is a August 23, 1902 of Caruso singing Ave' Maria with a full orchestra. According to to serial on the inside... one take! Test pressing- pressed one side. My favorite song, when done right. 45 of Louie Louie, 45 of Gene Autry / Rudolf the,RedNosed Raindeer, 78 Bing Crosby White Christmas. All in great shape. 2 Beatles white albums both first pressing under 1 million serial. UNOPENED. I track at 1/4 gram. JBL 240TI's to listen thru w/Kenwood class A amp., Scoped at 800 a side. NEED MORE INSULATION!!!😂 Sorry, rachet-jawed too long. Subbed and really enjoyed a few of your vids. I'm hooked. Apologies for the hurricane. 😂 ✌😎👍 Good vibes at your place!❤

Hey 👋 bud what’s up with you today brother! In 1987 my band was playing an Amerikkkan Tour with our good friends ( RIP Reed Mullins) and Woody gave me an autographed Lp of’em for my birthday called Technocracy in vinyl; not sure if you know those guys who are from Raleigh, N.C? Yes. I’m now gonna be 56 years young in June 5th so I’m kinda thinking of that time before they made it really BIG lol; I started swinging down memory lane and just found your channel this morning and I’ve been watching you all day today letting it run and I did subscribe to Noble records just now and really enjoying 😊 your insights into my #1 love ❤️ Muzik no matter what genres except for the new country music 💩 coming out today and prefer George Jones & Tammy Wynette over all the garbage polluting the media/ airwaves. So Did’ja know any of the guys from Corrosion Of Conformity’s line up or what? Just figured maybe you’re from the same neck of the woods is all. I ❤️ this stuff so where ya been all my life bro’ lol You’re funny as fuck all! I’m officially a fan as of now! 👏 Sincerely yours, DJP ex PostMortem and Kilslug Boston Massachusetts 🇺🇸 Amerikkka of course 🇨🇳 (soon!)

I watched your list of 20 most sort after records and as much as they were iconic records I only purchased The Velvet Underground LP from that list. I was one that was on a budget and wanted to purchase LP's that I felt would leave a lasting impression for years to come. I love this video because now your cooking with gas, you are presenting music that is superior to most and takes a love of music to know of these albums showing who you really are. In the 60's my friends gravitated to my music because everyone had access to The Beatles or Pink Floyd but not my gems (Stooges, 13 fl Elevator, MC5, Velvets, Electric Prunes, Seeds, Monks, Blue Cheer , Detroit etc). Love your video of your gems. Now you got my interest. Stay hip and keep the sleepers on you channel.

Dude, this was so awesome. I put on the Magnum, Fully Loaded in the background, poured myself a whisky and savoured your sharing all these magnificent grails. Yeah you sped up, no need for that, man. This could have been an hour long and it would still have been a pleasure to experience your enthusiasm for all your finds. Subbed. My grail is currently to find a vinyl store in the vacinity that actually sells decent records. I'm adding this to my favourites, because I know that when I'm feeling disillusioned about vinyl collecting, this will pick me back up. Cheers, good sir!

Hey Dillon, been binge watching your videos for a while... love'em! I live in Poland and can confirm that Nurt doesn't grow on trees here! It was a relatively small pressing compared to the standard pressing size at the time, and it's pretty sought after in Poland in general, and especially in their home town of Wrocław. In spite of being from 1973, there are both mono and stereo pressings (I have both). And like most Polish records, a) the cover is always whipped, and b) it's hard to find it in decent shape, as people didn't always have access to decent gear, and there are so many old records here with groove damage. Plus, hard rock records got partied to, vodka flowed, things got scratched. Oh... one more thing! While the word "nurt" does indeed mean trend, the primary meaning is current-like a river, not electricity (that's a different word). So when we use it to talk about trends, we're talking about a stream. In fact, "główny nurt" literally means "mainstream". There ya go, some perfectly useless nerdy info for ya! Thanks for all the vids! PS: This was never released back in the day, so you can only find it as a newer archival release, but I totally recommend Grupa Stress-a hard rocking power trio from Poznań (where I have lived for a decade) from the early 1970s!

A great video, though I've never heard of any of these bands. My favorite music genres are Prog, Classic Rock, and hard rock, i.e., Van Halen, Def Leppard, Metallica, KISS, Nivana, Guns N ROSES, AC/DC. My Holy Grail vinyl records are Genesis Live The Way We Walk Vol 1 The Shorts and Genesis Live The Way We Walk Vol 2 The Longs. These 2 vinyl records are not and never have been available on vinyl record in the USA. They're only available on cassette tape and music cd in the USA. As for the vinyl record versions, they're only available on import. At the time of the year each one was released, Vol. 1 The Shorts 1992 and Vol. 2 1993, I never, ever found them on vinyl record in any store, here in America. Keep spinning the vinyl!

I got a lot of early punk stuff from the late 70's, some of it pretty obscure, others are early pre-big label records of groups that later became better known. Got them, mostly imports from England, at small record shops in Manhattan when they were new. Just been collecting dust for years and I never thought they might be worth anything. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but I have to go through them. The records you show here are pretty obscure, like you might come across them at a yard sale and nobody but collectors and specialists would know they were worth anything, and the fact that they're so sought after makes me think maybe some of the obscure punk stuff I have might have people looking for them. Not counting on anything, but you never know what other people want.

Nice Collection! Some real gems in there for sure. I love the MAYPOLE LP. That "STRANGE" album is one of the weirdest for sure. The music is great, but Man.... Those vocals are really "STRANGE" & hard to take for me. lol. The only band that I ever listened to back then that had similar vocals was WHITE WITCH, but I love them. That cat is a little too much. Maybe it's the bad song writing too. Still good for a hoot once in a while. Just my 2 cents as a 65 year old head.

@@noblerecords Thanks! Incidentally, I live in Cedar Rapids, IA-- the home of BillyLee Janey of Truth and Janey fame. Lots of rumors of copies of No Rest for the Wicked in people's basements and the occasional copy that shows up in the stores around here. BillyLee is still kicking around here playing, which is pretty cool.

Hello friend, about the Here's Free Will album. I tried in every way to listen to the entire album, but I can't find anything except 3 songs here on youtube. Could you please rip this disc and provide a download link? Appreciate.

I wonder if Magnum Fully Loaded is the same Magnum band I have. I have a few on vinyl and a huge CD collection of Magnum I aquired in a collection this summer.

There is a US funk band called Magnum who did that Fully Loaded record but on Discogs it says they only did one album. There is a more famous British rock band called Magnum who have released a lot of albums. You may have stuff there by the British group instead.

Amazing finds congratulations! I’m going to have to stream some of these rare birds. Speaking of rare birds, I just found one and it’s a weird one, check out the Nihilism Spasm Band album is No Record, 1968 from London Ontario Canada. They are a collective of artists who recorded a free jazz/ noise band that made music on homemade and found instruments, and it’s up for sale.....
