I have a suggestion for your laundry mountain. Since your home schooling appears to be flexible, call a halt and have everyone to report to the clean clothes pile. Set a timer for 15 minutes and see how many items can be folded in that amount of time. Each time you need help folding, see if they can beat their previous time. Everyone is old enough to fold their own clothes.

I would suggest folding each load as they get done. If you don't have time then leave the drying until you do. You're just overwhelming yourself by continuing to dry loads and not fold them.

Good for Peter, going winter camping! You reminded me of myself as my boys were headed out, " um, do you have warm enough clothes! warm socks? the warmest sleeping bag? Jacket? oh yeah, I need my jacket." Hope he had fun! My oven broke during the height of the pandemic and we couldn't get one for months. I learned how to do so much with my crock pot, including baking some breads, like banana, cranberry, and spice cake.

Maria is such a beautiful young lady! Great haul, the gifts for the kids look great. I have a 14 year old daughter and I know she'd love that stuff. The toy for the 1 year old is so cute. I feel you on the laundry - working on it now as I watch. 5 kids, homeschool. I'm never caught up. I love your idea of bringing double of what your family would eat at a potluck. Our church has a potluck every Sunday, and like you, I try to always bring something hearty, but I also like to make sure that I'm bringing more than we will eat. Sometimes I'll do a crockpot of meatballs and a cake or something like that. Feels nice when you see that everyone is well fed and happy :)

Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Such a very busy week. Not having a stove makes it difficult to cook a meal, you have to be creative and between the crockpot, air fryer and propane stove you did great. Oh my goodness, I remember stringing popcorn as a kid for our tree. Good way to feed the birds Maria. Joe was quiet, he is growing so tall. Peter is a outdoorsman for sure, he really enjoys it. I hope you all have a very blessed weekend!

Hi, to my favorite KZbin family. It is always fun to see what you are all up to. Split pea soup is one of my favorites and seeing yours really makes me want to make some. I have a friend who usually brings us a ham for Christmas and I will wait for that to make it with the bone. Those wreaths are gorgeous. Your friend’s daughter is very talented! I loved seeing Maria hanging the popcorn string for the birds. She has such a sweet and precious heart.❤️

The magical way I clean my screen above my oven is LA’s totally awesome cleaner. I put it in a disposable pan or in the sink and let it soak in full strength cleaner and it will be spotless in about 5 min with NO scrubbing. Then I obsessively rinse it and let it completely dry before I put it back on!!!

Hi Jennifer! I hope that you are feeling a bit better❤ You know, as I was watching your video, I kept trying to think of all the creative ways that you can get a meal cooked - ranging from the microwave, a countertop oven, crockpot, etc. But I quickly realized that you had all the bases covered yourself! The meals you ended up making, no one would have thought that you didn’t have an oven. They all looked so delicious (soup), that I would have never thought otherwise. You’re a real trooper! I could only imagine, especially being so near the holidays, what a strange feeling it is. I love all the Christmas gifts your family has gotten for the giving tree. What a beautiful idea. Here, we have Toys For Tots. But with yours covers different age ranges, which i thought was especially a nice idea.

Aw, sorry to hear about your stove issues. Wish you'd been able to get a Frigidaire 'Professional' range. I'm VERY pleased with mine and a fuel conversion wasn't needed; hope that's just a memory for you now. Please do link the French language book...my grand-kiddos are eager to learn Spanish and I bet that company would have great resources for Spanish too. Have to grin over the commercials on your video, they were unexpectedly fun and geared to this time of year and NOT OFFENSIVE! Woot, Woot! (Thank you, Goya...I'll seek more of your products in thanks!) And, sorry but no matter how much I love 'The KZbinr', if the commercial is offensive I will not watch and sadly deny the revenue from it. (As I'm sure you know, there are some really disgusting ads!) But so glad when it works out as a win/win. There must surely be Mullein growing on your land, please do teach the kids to look for it in '25 and teach them to harvest, dry and store it safely to help protect all of you from basic winter 'yuck' where you need to keep those ENT fluids flowing freely. I'd never learned about it until just before 2020 and "that" current health condition. ;) I am so grateful to our Father that He provided that herb in advance of the need of it. After researching it online and learning all the benefits of it, I'm positive it was a Heavenly Gift meant to sustain us during that time. And the funny thing is that Mullein (Verbascum Densiflorum) is nothing new at all yet here we are 'discovering' it just now. So funny!
@mollysmith605518 күн бұрын
And a PS...if you truly don't have any Mullein on your land, please let me know and I'll mail you some seeds of the common Mullein I have growing here. You have been so wonderful to make your delightful spice blends available to us out here and if I can repay the favor any small bit, I'd love to be able to do it.

I don’t think I would be nearly as patient as our kind Jennifer. I would make them take it back and bring me a new one. This is just not acceptable. Period. Jennifer…when my soup is a bit thin I crack the lid and put a wooden spoon between the crock and lid but if I don’t have a great deal of time to serve I add a bit of potato flakes in the soup BUT don’t get crazy or you’ll be serving paste🤭. I love seeing littles clothes. I have no grandchildren and it’s looking as though I won’t so thanks for sharing that experience. Maria and Peter are growing up so fast and that Joe…he has a mind all his own. Tell Joe we NEED just a quick hi and a smile from him and then we’ll know all is good with him😊. It’s just Jack and I but I’d be lost without a stove for days and days. I have a crockpot and use it frequently, have a microwave and it gets used daily for heating or melting but a stove is a necessity. Good luck with indoor camping and I know you’ll make the best of it. I must say the last movie I went to see in the theater was Christmas with the Kranks! Been a while!!!:):):)

You rely on appliances too much. We cook on a 2 burner campstove and anything that you you can cook in an oven you can cook on a gas grill. Just put a pizza stone on the rack and temperatures will maintain better.
@anna2744618 күн бұрын
Most people use different appliances though-relying on a 2 burner camp stove wouldn’t be helpful for a big family or for any family at that.

@anna27446 🤣 there are 6 in my family and frequent visitors so I'd say you're wrong on all accounts. We've lived without electricity for over 11 years and used absolutely nothing electric.
