I Bought A Porsche 718 Cayman!

Hi Guys, welcome back to the channel and welcome to 2020...It has been a crazy year since my first video was released in January 2019. 2019 was a fantastic year but this year is going to be even better!
I wanted to kick the year off by showing you my brand new car. I bought a Porsche 718 Cayman! I had been looking for a new car to replace the John Cooper Works in the months leading up to Christmas and when this car popped up, I had to buy it!
I will be doing so much more this year and my aim is to reach 1,000 subscribers! I really hope you can be one of those and enjoy 2020 with me!

I think if I’d been given an S for an extended period of time then perhaps I’d really see the difference but I’ve not felt like the car is slow ! Thanks 👌🏻 more to come in the new year so keep watching

Great vid, Jack, love the enthusiasm for the 718. Test drove one two weeks ago, every bit as awesome as you say. Can’t wait to get one ordered. Small point, but did you go for reversing camera and folding door mirrors? If so, worth the extra in your view?

Thanks Marty! So I did not get a reversing camera or folding mirrors. I had both these on my previous car and thought I’d need them but I really haven’t had to worry! I think if you didn’t have them, it wouldn’t be the end of the world, in my opinion

Is the base enough? Been looking at the S models since it’s really not that much more. Used market prices slowly getting back to normal

I’d say the base is absolutely enough. I’d doubt you’d notice the difference however if you can find an S for good money, residually they would be better 👍🏻

Why did you not go for the T cause the way you spec'ed it did cost you more than going for the T right away! I love it and I ll get the key of mine next week. She s getting a ceramic coating treatment at the moment. I have a Mustang GT right now but I was pleased when I drove test the Cayman T, so I m leaving my Mustang GT for the 718T. Performance wise they are almost equivalent. Maybe at high speed, the Stang pulls a bit harder thanks to its 450 BHP but still, the 400 kgs less for the Cayman makes the diference. And from a driving behavior standpoint, the Porsche is ahead in comparison with the Stang. Enjoy yours my dude!

Good question! If I’d bought mine brand new I would have most likely got the T, but this was bought used and I thought the spec was great! Very nice, I’ve got a soft spot for the Mustang - thanks man, and you 👍🏻
