Great video. You actually pressure washed it! Hopefully you keep doing that in the future. You're absolutely incorrect, with only 3,000 MI nothing the owner could have done would create a ring Gap like that. That was a disgruntled owner that spent $16,000, to need a partial engine rebuild do to lack of quality of control in the assembly. Dealership and manufacturer won't cover it, an owner not willing to pay 5K repair so they bailed. Those were cheap rings and that's the manufacturer's fault

We ride a shared trail six miles into our off-road cabin in Alaska. Many people have cabins spread out for many miles and other people fish and hunt off the trail. In 24 years the only machine I’ve seen burnt to the ground was a CF moto like this one. It was hard to recognize as even the rims were melted. I took a bunch of pictures and did some research to see the brand. The only machine I’ve towed out was an Arctic Cat. I’ve seen a few of all brands broke down. There probably were more Polaris machines broke down , but more than half the machines I see on the trail are Polaris.

Run that mixture in it until the second motor oil change. Cause a lot of times it's from lack of chemistry called changing the old burnt motor oil out with new motor oil when it's time to do so. So A mear suggestion is you can try that little trick tip to help flush out and clean up the inside internal engine parts to like sludge buildup.,or metal and metallic shavings and shard's of bits of metal.,or aluminum.,or Piston oil rings to.

I used to work for a company with lots of heavy equipment used for moving dirt. They did regular engine oil analysis and what they found was that oil that had high levels of silica (from dust) also had had high levels of compounds that make up the wear surfaces of the internal engine parts. Silica in the oil was coming from dust being sucked into combustion air either through or after the oil filter. After seeing the condition of the engine and air filter in this machine I would say dust and lack of maintenance ruined the engine. I would also think that the excess wear may be through out the engine not just in the rod bearing and rings. Might want to see what a new or used engine would cost.
