Removing the tank was easy enough. However, my first thought was to simply lean the whole thing to one side and back the truck in. How did you move it once you had it on the ground? I'm assuming that wasn't the final location since you wouldn't be able to use the lift with it there.

I simply put it on 2 wheel dollies and rolled it to its final destination )))

let some, or all, the air out of the truck's tires. or maybe even remove the rear wheels altogether and roll the truck back on a dolly or two. you only need move it less than a foot... sweet machine!! suprised it didn't come with s proper tire iron.

With a 2” hole in the tire I doubt there was any air in :)

@@HETPEZB i meant that removing the air from the rear tires on the ford truck , might lower the height of it enough to get the tire changer under the garage door opening without you having to partially dismantle it.

@bladerunner6282 , oh. It was probably 8” higher, plus garage floor has additional 3/4” step. Wasn’t an option.

I bought this machine from the government auction in unknown condition. I didn’t expect it to have the iron frankly speaking. Obviously machine have a lot of wear, but it’s pretty solid for what it is. It’s an older Hoffman Monty 1565 (I guess) model. Made in Italia :) Hopefully not by Fiat :)
