“Rebuilding” old common cars isn’t very exciting. Alex’s most viewed video is about a £25 car, kinda clickbait with no real content but imagine it was an actual £25 transaction video etc, not just telling a story in a unit. My favourite video is the junk zx road trip to France. Simon Wilson done a junk car road trip video very similar and it’s his most viewed video and it’s not even a car channel. Please just stick to buying junk and driving as far away from your unit 😂 A cool one would be where you each fly into different cities and have to buy a car and get to a destination with the car modified in different ways, that way you’ll meet car people along the way sourcing parts Or tune in next week to watch ball joints being replaced on a regular car and find out what car will be on the car vertical promo

I always loved the V70R and the S60R of this shape. My dad had a 2004 54 plate V70, not an R but an SE Lux with the 2.4 naturally aspirated 140bhp entry engine in bottle green with a cream interior. It was single handedly the best car he has ever owned and my favourite. Even with no turbo...the big girl could run. A lot of things with that generation of V70 are not standard anymore, e.g. the completely flat loading area when the seats are down, nicely integrated luggage guard into the back of the seats or even how easily the seats just fold. I do think if Volvo took a little leaf out of the book that brought the 850R or the original V70R/S70R, that generation would have been beyond insane and a more generally covetted vehicle than more of a niche. Unfortuantely funds currently do not permit me to attend shed fest (at the moment) to stand a chance of winning it, but when money does become my friend again, I think the search for one will commence. Or perhaps an original S40 T4.

I have driven both a 850R and a s60r with manual and they both are really nice cars. Anything newer really dropped in quality due to ford though. The 940s with turbos are also really fun to drive, they are rwd aswell.

i bought an s60r black sppahrie with atacama interior. whilst it was a dream car of mine and was lovely to drive (when it wasnt broken). shame everything was so expensive to get fixed and had a very weak engine which cracked cylinder linings twice. suspension is also a pain in the arse to fix when it goes wong too... unfortunately for me the bad outweighed the good of owning it so i got rid of it thankfully

That's exactly why I went for the facelift T5. Stronger engine, manual box, no AWD (which never works on an R) or 4C suspension to worry about. Thankfully it's been a pleasure so far and given me no trouble despite running 400hp+. I would however love to have an R front bumper/headlights and that gorgeous Atacama interior

I have same volvo but its S60R my mate got same V70R and S60R all manuals. BEST cars in my opinion for a daily use and for some fast corner on sunny day as well..I owe a garage in Liverpool and working on them volvos daily basis..Absolutely love them and more than happy to be able to modify or upgrade some parts on thees lovely volvos. Currently working on customers S60R which basically will be brand new car from top to bottom..you more than welcome to my garage and i will do a proper inspection for you 😀...ohh ye...i do have some parts for them as well..🙃

This is what I actually love about AutoAlex/CT videos: the cheap/bizarre car challenges and roadtrips. Way more entertaining to see you guys buying a car and going to the ring. I am sure it is more expensive, but that's what made me follow this channel in the first place. Also, seeing Alex hammered and smelling the scent of a flower, just made my day 😆 PS: please make "Luke in random places" a tradition 😂😂
