Something that occurred to me when the Lads popped in to say they would be posting their parts of the trip on their respective channels. Auto Alex (all channels) in spirit is the best bits of the old TopGear shows with the 3 legends. If you were to put the weekly vid from each of the channels and add the podcast you get the studio and the various components together. I don’t mind that they are each individual parts at all for clarification. It’s just struck me that Alex and the gang are the true TopGear successors. Love you lads, thank you for giving this content to all us fans.

Regarding the gearbox, I believe you can reset the parameters by doing the following: 1. Ignition on (engine not started). 2 Push the accelerator all the way down and hold it for 20 seconds. 3. Take foot off accelerator & start the car. 4. With engine running, foot on brake (obviously) & pull the gear selector through all (P, R, N, D) and back again, and that should be the gearbox parameters done. 👍

My Dad had a Cayenne Turbo, same colour, no roof bars. The mate he borrowed it off had decided it wasn't fast enough so he had the ECU chipped 3 times. So the car had around 600 hp. The thing flew, coming back from Silverstone. Needed an oil top up every month, but that thing was a beast. Was sad my old man gave it back. But I believe it's for sale.

I cant help but think that the decision you made was, i don't want to say wrong but not the best. It does not sit well with me that some people (yes i understand, your audience but still small portion) made an issue where there was none. You have not done anything wrong with the purchase price of the Mira as you explained in the car podcast. Don't get me wrong, it is noble of you to pay, like in this case scrap value and to bring the Mira purchase price up, but again its called a negotiation for a reason and it is a valuable interaction for people to have and learn. I have had my experiences from both sides of the coin and that is the only reason why i call back to them and point this out. I own a first gen turbo, black, a SUV trying to look like a 911, mine doesn't have the runny egg headlights, and sits on 21" wheels. Not an every day driver, the trip computer on purpose won't show you fuel economy, and yet while not as cute as a Range Rover, is far and away the better car. These things really do go hard. Having been to Speedvegas recently, where they use a Cayenne as a course familiarisation car, I went in thinking it was going to be crap. Fair to say I left with a huge grin, slightly brown trousers, and the thought that "SUV's should not be able to go that fast!" It was genuinely epic.
