I Bought an ABANDONED Genesis for $1,000 - It's VERY Wet

$1,000 for an Abandoned Hyundai Genesis Coupe.. What could possibly go wrong? It's not like I didn't get a Key, Ownership, Window was stuck down for 4 years,, Timing chain let go, Engine may have blown itself up, dirt nasty cigarette butts everywhere, Damage on all 4 corners, Brakes are seized, etc.. not like we have to deal with any of that LOL😂 Serioustly though, im very excited to revive this car.. I have always wanted another Genesis Coupe Street Car, and this might be it!

Because you mentioned this in one of the last videos YOU CAN TURN THE SEAT BELT BUZZER OFF. Get in the car turn the ignition switch to the on position but don’t start the car, plug in and un plug the seatbelt 20 times within 30 seconds of turning the key to the on position, once you did that 20 times turn the ignition switch off and take they key out wait a second then put it back in and start the car. The seatbelt buzzer will do it’s first initial blinking and beeping thing but after the first few it will stop and the reminder light in the gauge cluster will go away and it’ll shut up. One of the best things about Subarus is you can turn that annoying beep off pretty easily. Like this so Robbie sees it!!!

@@POVCA1024 I had a 3.8 for 4 years and put over 100k kilometres on it and didn’t have to change one single part. But now I own the 2.0ts and they seem to have a few more issues but nothing major so far ! Reliable as long as you don’t beat the shit out of them

If the most you want is to put an intake and exhaust maybe a tune on it and never go for higher power then go with the 3.8 but if you like the higher HP mods like big turbo, big intercooler,big everything ,built/forged engine like I am now then i would suggest the 2.0t. I loved my 3.8 but hated I couldn’t really modify it other then intake /exhaust/some random generic tune. So I bought a stock 2.0t and it’s not as fast but 2x the fun so far hah 3.8 almost sounds like a GTR but 2.0t makes amazing turbo noises even stock

Man, y'know what? This video has inspired me. There's a 2000 Mustang GT that's been sitting at the end of my street since 2012, and I went and asked the guy who owns that lot if he'd be willing to sell it to me six months ago. He said that his son owned the car, but that he'd ask him if he wants to sell it and that he'd call me to tell me his son's answer regardless of what it was, but I never got that call. I think I'm gonna pop back down there tomorrow to ask again.

hey robbie i would reccomend using the key from the other genny to get into acc on the red one to roll up the window, it wont start but it will allow you to get power to the windows

Legit exactly how I bought my 1993 3000gt. Window down (broken) all winter and all year. Inside wasn’t the best BUT there was so weathering done to the inside other than sun damage from sitting in the heat so much. It’s back on the road

I work for an auto exporter and just bought 2 genesis coupes one is a 2010 3.8 6mt track and the other is a 2015 3.8 auto. Both wrecked one front and one rear. The 2015 will get all the parts from the 2010. And i do mean everything accept glass will get swapped over. I am excited to start on them.

I bought a Genny with a blown engine… best decision.. replaced the engine clutch head lights tail lights master cylinder 4 door speakers two twelves tinted the windows.. just need rims now.. also a tune I have a cold air intake in the garage. N want headers..

Awesome find dude! In this crazy car market, Gennys are such bargains. 💩 I miss your content, been subbed since the BRZ still had Enkeis lol. I bought a blue 2011 BK1 last July with the 2.0t and only 89,000 km. The body and frame were in excellent shape. It was originally from Ontario as well (I’m in Quebec so that front licence plate mount couldn’t come off fast enough haha). I’m SHOCKED at how great it is, especially as a daily. Hyundai really knocked it out of the park. It’s surprisingly good in the winter too with a set of Blizzaks. After being on the fence, you helped me decide to get a BRZ of my own years ago. I adored that thing... It broke my heart when I had to sell it due to life circumstances. 😥 Still my dream machine, but used prices are outrageous now! Nothing will replace the BRZ for me, but in the meantime, the Genny satisfies my RWD craving quite well... at a fraction of the cost!
