If you noticed, he was not pedaling the whole time, only at first, then he rode flat out with his feet on the step/over board at high speed, this thing might work for you, get a copy of your state statue to see if you can legally go on all bike trails & bike lanes, & carry that copy with you for the cops trying to ruin your day. For what it’s worth, plenty of power & disc brakes all around seems to be a well thought out piece of equipment, I have already paid for an M340 July 2, 21, should be arriving any day now, I hope.

This trike is perfect for someone like me who can not drive due to neuropathy, that means that I can not feel my feet, I had straps made to hold my feet on the pedals and then I am mobile again, I can walk on my feet but can not feel them when trying to use them on a bike and I have not been able to drive for 3 years so this gave me my freedom back, it is not always about how fast you can go, it is can you go alone at all anywhere. I am logging in and will be your 396th comment at this point, after reading a lot of the most asinine idiotic negative comments from likewise people, it is obvious to me most of’em are chronic complainers who have not a clue that life is ABOUT THE FUN, not the bitchin’. I am 81 years old, and because of this & only your blistering (ride’em cowboy styled) fast paced demonstration of this addmotor M340 e-trike. I personally think you put it through the ‘ringer’ so to speak. Because of your video last July 7, 2021 I ordered one through pay-pal for $2999.00 (we talk’in a lota Cash) On August 27th 2021 it showed up at my door. In 82 miles at no fault of the M340 it has had 1 flat on the left rear, and 2 on the front, this 3rd flat requires that I remove the entire front wheel to repair it, that I am not going to do, so the damn trike has been unridden for over a year sitting there with a damn flat on the front wheel. My point, for the money I paid. ADDMOTOR COULDA MADE DAMN SURE THEY PUT BETTER TIRES & tubes on for safety. THE SPEED combined with that many flats, those odds can kill the rider, so I have parked the damn thing, TO ROT WHERE IT SITS. To compound the problem it’s too expensive to have a local bike shop rip me off to fix the flats So I am back to driving my Lincoln Mark LT. It never has had a flat tire and besides IT IS SAFER.

Should surgery diminish my balance, this would definitely be my next ride. I attended an anti-lockdown protest march last weekend - long walks and standing are hard on me - and again, this trike would be a great solution...not too mention a quick getaway from the ticketing cops! @@tomortale2333 Oh and I realized that part of the issue was that it wasn't just one turn, it was basically a sharp S turn. I was't going so fast that I was hurt or damaged any part of the trike, there was common sense at play.

I'm a field tech that tries to bike to jobs as much as possible - I carry sometimes 30+ pounds of tools to a job and have done the back pack thing, the strapping the tool bag down to a rear rack thing and saddle bags thing. I kick myself every time I think about passing one of these up back at the beginning of Covid - the price at a that time for the exact same trike with a different re-brand was $1299 - same engine, same storage area/bag, same drive train same tires - pretty much a mirror image but addmotor always seems to be a little more expensive than other brands. In any case I was the same way - didn't want the attention I might get but F That - I would be so much happier dragging tools in that back well and as far as agility I used to ride a Honda Big Red 3 wheeler for years back in the 80's so I understand you don't steer with the front wheel alone - have to shift your hips and lean into those turns but pavement nullifies a lot of that. The big tires make it look more aggressive which I like - but seriously would want a rear motor to avoid the front wheel slipping - all wheel drive that you can turn on and off would be the best thing ever on one of these

i don't know what your problem with the way it looks is. in a way i think it kinda looks "gangster". i'm seriously considering buying the 2023 model. i want to pay off my harley first though. i have it in mind to ride this bike to work and back daily. i have a dirty job and i don't want to get my harley dirty and i want to try to stop driving my truck unless i actually need to haul something with it. its a gas hog. i'll share a couple interesting experiences i had recently. i was on my harley about 3/4 mile from the las vegas strip in heavy traffic. i came up on a 2 wheel E BIKE. that E BIKE actually made it to the strip faster than i could on a motorcycle due to traffic. mind you i'm a safe motorcycle rider. i obey traffic laws and i don't weave in and out of traffic like a lot of riders do. i just cruise and go with the flow as if i were driving a car. again i was in traffic and stopped at an intersection. distance to next red light was about 3/4 mile (another part of town several miles away from tourist corridor). traffic was moderate. anyways... an E BIKE was almost keeping up with 45 mph traffic due to their ability to ride in the bike lane. i was driving my truck this time seeing these situations i'm starting to lean more in favor of giving up on vehicles and just going with an electric bike. my harley? there's no subsitute for that, but then i'm not taking an E BIKE on the freeway or out of town like i would my harley. i'm just talking about running around town an electric TRIKE seems like its going to work for me. i don't drive my vehicles fast so its not like i'm in the biggest hurry. more and more its starting to make more sense to get an E-BIKE. one of the concerns i have is how to lock it up and secure it? if i ride it to work and back home only its not a problem as both places are secure. taking it to the grocery store? where to park it? how to park it? these are issues i'm thinking about. like any other bike its bound to get stolen if not secured and i'm thinking something like this would be a very hot item. even with anti-theft and all kinds of other high tech gucci gadgets my harley can come up missing real fast if i'm not careful where i go on it. it weighs what? 600 pounds? this trike weighs only 100 pounds or less. it can be easily stolen. that's one of my hangups with getting something like this

I'm planning to get something like this, just as a rational mode of transportation. I'm concerned about snow, and I believe the stability will reduce the risk of injury if I get gently nudged by a car. I walk 20,000 steps a day on the job and am quite healthy, I do not wish to blow my good health on an accident.

What hitch can I use to mount this on a car?

That would last maybe 5 minutes in any of our Walmart parking lots here in St Joseph.

Who makes an iPhone contac silent alarm system for this e-trike also a GPS locater button to find the thief or the stolen e-trike, then, no cops, just me & the thief who stole my life’s savings, 1st, there would be a lot of torture, & neutering. As a veteran, Geneva is out the window, trust me, the thief would never ever steal again, my system of justice knows no boundary’s but is most effective. What a country ! Ask any victim, cops will make you a double victim, they are no help. Please, I am 80 yrs old, in July, Yuma, az. I-8, had a flat 3pm, an az. Trooper sat in his patrol car (no lights) & watched the entire 2 hr ordeal while I struggled with the wheel on my truck, not even an offer of a bottle of water in the 120 degree heat, so this is cop abuse, much, much later thru my friends I find out az. pays for a service truck to cruise that Frwy, just not for me, I’m white, the trooper was not.

I think I would mod it to where the seat is lower and more recumbent by putting it between the rear wheels.
@hotsoup10012 жыл бұрын
The lower center of gravity would be a huge plus, making it much more practical for older riders. Right now it's way too top heavy for an elderly person to trust it. And let's face it, Trikes aren't really geared towards younger riders.
