I’ve got 3 iPods love mine. It’s fun to have lots of storage but then again you’re spending lots of time scrolling through yours songs. I have a Nano 3rd gen and 1st I use if I don’t want to scroll that much and only have a few of my main artists.

It's a real iPod but its not brand new in box. It's been refurbished with new internals and a new cover plate. The iPod classic never came with more than 160GB of storage from the factory. And it never came in blue

Totally agree, this is all after market mods that have been done to old stock and anyone can buy the parts to do it themselves or just buy one off the shelf as I did.

Hey thanks for video I bought it from the same seller that you did electronic out store thanks for the link provided. I just received it and I’m in a confusion if it’s legit or not ? I don’t know for some weird reason I feel like fake because the box it came is not legit it had stains inside the box and are the ear phones, charger that you got are from apple or not ?

@Nik-zs, just to be clear, these are ipods but not necessarily Apple. Depending on what model you ordered you may have had multiple upgrades included - I wanted one with the blue cover (which I don't think Apple did) and 512 GB ram, which no iPod officially came with to my knowledge. Mine was sold as new (you should check your listing), but mine came with the right accessories. There is a massive modding community for iPods, these guys on ebay are just taking second hand or unused stock and changing thnings to suiit your needs. As long as it is working and you can connect to itunes it should be fine. You will have to download an extra bit of software or you could install an alternative OS but that defeats the point of having an ipod!

@@PopCultureGamers Hey, thanks for the link. I just bought one from the link that you provided. Can you confirm that it is indeed 512gb and that you are not having any syncing issues ? Also how long does your battery last ?

@@adikath7193 I can only say for the one I have purchases but mine is 512gb and not had any syncing issues once itunes installed the extra software it needed. If you are having propblems I would suggest downloading an older version of itunes as my son downloaded it from the app store and he had problems syncing any device with itunes as he had been using apple music. Took apple music off and added itunes (not windows store version) and now everything works great

I've only just started watching the video, up to around 3 minutes, so you might reveal otherwise, but the 512GB part shows it might be a fake, as it is just a label, it should be like an embossed silver font on the box, I double checked that by watching another ipod 7th gen unboxing, it looks good though, is the back metal or chrome, it should be metal, but I could not tell from the photos, you could weigh it too and compare it the weight of a official model.

It isn’t fake, there are loads of after market mods for iPod classic which if you watch the whole video you would see. It is metal back and front and is engraved with 512gb on the back (metal chrome back like other iPods). I uploaded over 9k songs and it only took up a tenths of the space on the device. Obviously it isn’t an Apple release but the company has updated the inners for storage and battery. The logic board and screen are original but the rest is after market mods. You can do this yourself but at the cost it was as easy to just get one already done as I would have had to fix the screen on my iPod and got a new click wheel and button to match a new front. But you could just install a new battery and storage option… see end of video.

Weighing wouldn’t mean much because the original hard drive would weigh more than the upgraded storage solution so not the same.

It's fake. It has already been modified by the seller. Appel never made an Ipod in that color.

I don't think I ever said it was an original, indeed I did reference the fact that they were after market mods that you can also do yourself

@@PopCultureGamers I know all about modding Ipods. What I meant is that the circuit board was most likely a fake, Not that the mods made it a fake. I have seen fakes in a fake Ipod box that does not match an original Ipod box. They will even seal the box to try and sell the original Apple product scam.

@@johnnyquad6795 Maybe, but if it works as an ipod and is 100% compatible with iTunes which mine is then does it matter. Like I said the device works exactly as it should which is why I think it is most likely an original logic board then everything else is modded - certainly saved me a lot of bother doing it
