Sounds like Papa Yam may be ready for a cruiser to go with his new track bike. Different bikes for different applications. I went from a street bike to a cruiser after a catastrophic shin shattering (not even on a bike) I thought I may never ride again. It’s a great change and I’m ecstatic to be back on the road.

@boondocksaint2535 жыл бұрын
OriginalzCrazy8 I don’t have a cool story for shattering my leg. I was just walking down a hill, slipped, my foot got caught in a hole and twisted 180 degrees and I landed on it. Shattered my shin bone twisted everything to shit. I was never too crazy on my sport bike, it just wasn’t a comfortable riding position after my injury. I guess everyone needs to slow down a bit and take in life eventually.

I really like the second part of your video. I myself wrecked on the street several years ago and had some strong thinking to do myself. The next bike I purchased was a GSXR 750 and did as you are saying. Went to a track , a controlled environment. Crashed my first track day. Was wearing a full leather suit. Was okay. Bike wasnt too bad either. Ita been 6 seasons now that ive been riding track. Track is where you can hone your skills and be safe. The street is not where you should ever try to test your limits. Anyone trying to will eventually end up hurt or worse. Thank you for expressing this important message to your audience.

Had a similar experience with a Triumph Speed Triple 1050. LOVED that bike. Got hit by a car, got back on the horse the next season and still loved the bike but realized it wasn't fun on the street, frankly scared the crap out of me, and could never use it like it was meant to be on the street. Traded it for a road king special. Miss the triumph very much, but I can have fun at a safer level on the backroads, looks good, and now I can it up to check out roads a few days away.

As I said to you on Instagram, great choice to make it a track only bike. Best way to learn, is in a controlled environment. We riders think we are the toughest of the bunch on the street but the first time we set foot on a track and a 15yrs old kid on a 300 passes us on the outside, only then do we realise just how slow we are 😂
