Definitely an interesting watch (thumbs up), I own a 13 Daytona 675 and its an awesome piece of British engineering. When I first brought mine I covered 400 miles in the first day and just over 4000 miles in the first 2-3 months. Best 600 stock I've owned✌

Yammie, I was looking at naked bikes until I got into watching your channel, and slowly but surely you convinced me of the pure raging awesomeness that is the Daytona 675! So I just bought a 2006 model. Definitely couldn't be happier with my decision!

I just bought a 675 for track use. All the parts are backwards compatible. Wheels, dampers, slipper clutch, shocks, steering head etc. This means you can get near r6 performance at SV650 prices. Most of these parts like ohlins suspension can be bought cheap on Ebay and further upgraded from there.

Frugaltail they are still in dealers +2017 models. they will just drop a new one on the horizon anyways
@Frugaltail7 жыл бұрын
Greg Welch not in the UK. they are no longer in production it's just left over stock that cant be sold in the EU due to emissions laws. Triumph have not suggested there will be a replacement, there have been no spy shots of a new bike or no leaks about development. triumph seem to be pushing into modern classics at the moment rather than anything else. There has been no update or replacement to the Sprint St/GT range either. it's a real shame. the Daytona IS the BEST middle weight sport bikr. by leaps and bounds.
@pnwgreg3007 жыл бұрын
Frugaltail there was very little new street triple info until the launch event and now there's 3 of them lol. I don't see them developing a new engine and not carrying it over to share development cost
@Frugaltail7 жыл бұрын
Greg Welch the new street was in MCN over a year ago being tested at the site in Spain. Then in November there was more leaks from staff. but before all that kicked off in 2015 triumph sent out surveys to it's reviewers asking about features that are desirable on a new version of a street triple. there may be a new Daytona but from the staff I've spoken to.... don't hold your breath it could be some time off! but none the less, i do hope i am wrong! guy Martin racing one at the TT would be insane

Triumph epitomises the British motor industry. We aim a little further than they're actually capable of. Often we get things badly wrong but when we nail it, my god do we nail it. Triumph triples, Jag E types, the McLaren F1.

In Triumph's defence (or not...), the TT600 suffered with poor fueling due to Triumph wanting to be the very first 600 supersport to be running fuel injection. The Speed Four and Daytona 600/650 were huge steps forward. Thank you from a fan and TT600 owner (full disclosure).

At about 10:16 you say the 2013 refresh included a 400 rpm redline bump up to 14,400 rpm. The 2009(?) to 2012 bikes had a redline of 15,000 rpm, so it was really a 600 rpm drop in redline.

Hey Yammie ! I'm a french rider so I'm still on A2 license but I'm gonna get my full license at the end of this year. I really want to buy a 675R but I'm also looking at the new Street Triple RS, while the Daytona 675R is my dreambike (I just love the looks of it) I'm afraid the new Street Triple RS is better in every way except the looks. Just got a beautiful red Triumph Daytona 675! Hey Papa Yam- wanna ask you about my new (used) bike. I got it from a friend of mine two weeks after he got it. He quickly realized he couldn’t ride anymore after a car wreck. When he got it IT WAS PERFECT! I was SO JEALOUS! So when he decided to sell it, I quickly offered cash plus my cbr250r in trade. He eventually agreed, and I got my bike. But despite it having been SO PERFECT only 2 weeks ago, he screwed a lot of shit up on the bike! Are Daytona’s known to overheat? I don’t know much about the bike yet- but I do all my own repairs at all times. If you have a shop manual for the bike I’d appreciate that... He also hardwired the cooling fan to the ignition, and it’s not working. The tail lights aren’t working. Etc.
