So happy you dove into this line with these amazing figures. The “Metal” figures are McFarlane’s best in the Multiverse line. The detailed sculpts and paint schemes are top tier for the price point. I’m a big Marvel Legends collector and fan but the McFarlane DC figures are a favorite of mine too. BTW, the winged batman who laughs is based off a comic issue, he didn’t appear in the comics with wings at all. i think Todd just wanted to flex and show all these toy companies how winged figures should be done haha

You should totally get the dark father wave it has the dark nights metal wonder woman, superman, robin king, and the dark father baf. This collection is not complete without those characters. And they are amazing. The only down side is that the dnm batman is re-released in the wave with different accessories. But its only a 4 figure wave and has a great baf. The dnm wonder woman and the robin king are especially amazing. You won't regret it if you enjoy the dark nights metal figures.

I gotta say this is my favorite action figure line right now. They have what I can’t see in marvel legends with the intense detail. And they’re just really fun to collect if you ask me. This metal ones might be my favorite in the line. They look so badass! The Batman with guns is called the grim knight and he first appeared in the Batman who laughs graphic novel. He’s a Batman who killed Joe chill the man who killed his parents as a kid. He grew up to be violent and solving all of his issues with killing. The death metal Batman I think is just the basic Bruce Wayne when he takes on the Batman who laughs but I could be wrong.

DC Multiverse by Mcfarlane are my favorite action figures. The level of detail, new body molds & sculpts are superior to Marvel Legends. You should definitely get the Death Metal with the Dark Father build a figure to complete this set

Over a year later, McFarlane has only slightly improved the wrist and ankle joints. Happens in the other lines as well ( Fortnight, other 7" figures ). Still good sculpt and details, too many figures, usually good paint, sometimes accessories, a figure stand becomes important, rising prices.

The Batman with the trench coat is from the sequel to metal, death metal. He was put with Wonder Woman, Superman and Robin King in the wave he came in. Also the Batman who laughs with the wings only appeared on a variant Hawkman cover, it isn’t an actual thing.

As for the answer for your question at the end thehe Batman with guns is From Knight he's basically a Punisher Batman as for the Death Metal Batman with the scythe it's the aftermath of the Justice League run which lead into Death Metal he died before the event started which is why he has a black lantern ring

Batman with guns is basically if Batman became the Punished and he's from Batman Who Laughs (that's the title of the comic) Death Metal Batman is from Death Metal (sequel to Metal). Devastated is Batman with Doomsday's powers. Monetized Superman is Batman/Superman The Infected and is just Superman affected by Joker toxin, so you could probably skip that one.

The wings are Hawkman’s wings. If you have not found a Superman yet, McFalane mad a two pack of the real Superman vs Devastator which I bought for two reasons one because like you I am not a collector of DC but I wanted a Superman to go with the Dark knight metal I wanted and I found the Devastator was the same price as the two pack. The relief on your face when you found the stands, just priceless.

The infected Superman and Nightwing remind me more of the Deadites from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness, after they possessed someone. There's more infected coming: King Shazam, Commissioner Gordon, and more. The red guitar that Batman is playing is actually, Plastic Man. There's also a Dark Father(Darkseid+Batman) BAF. If I get any figures from this wave it'll be Batman, The Batman Who Laughs with the Robins, batcycle, and King Shazam. Nice TMNT outro. Big props to you for ALWAYS displaying model behavior! I've been collecting these McFarlane figures since he got the rights from DC to produce them. As for your questions, and I've seen that the fellow fans of channel have actually answered some, but the "punisher batman" is called the Grim Knight, who The Batman Who Laughs brought to this universe from another Dark Multiverse world, where Bruce decided to use guns and kill when it comes to his rouges. But I do suggest reading the sequel series, as well.as the Batman Who Laughs mini series. There will be a "infected" Shazam (King Shazam) coming later this year. 🙌keep up the great videos and displays/reviews.

The best way I found to understand the dark nights metal story is to read the Omnibus because it has the main run and the tie in issues all in the right order. And half the story are tie in issues. It definitely made more sense to me than read the trades and would highly recommend it.

I kept maybe a dozen legends and flogged the rest off and started collecting these. Have to say, cheaper but better quality. Especially sculpt wise. And don’t afraid of the joints, the usual hot water and a bit of care is all you need. I’ve gone down a classic justice league and Batman comic kinda tunnel. Very enjoyable so far.

Personally, another set of good DC McFarlane figures is the White Knight figures. Specially Azrael. He is just amazing. I understand that people want Mcfarlane to do more classic characters, but by god if it is refreshing to see a company with DC's license doing more than just Dark Knight Returns, Nolan Trilogy stuff and generic Justice League waves.

I also do no collect dc but I’m in deep now, the last knight on earth has Batman with a joker head in a lantern and the creepiest scarecrow that rides babes back. That superman is from a completely different comic it is from the dc infected comic. It was the paint, flight stands and regular stands that pushed me over the edge, marvel is severely lacking

l passed the toy section at walmart omw to grab a carjack at the auto section around the corner and saw the heavy metal batman and said fuck it I'm getting that. THIS FIGURE omg made me have so much more respect for Mcfarlane and so much MORE animosity for Hasbro... l already had a bit of disdain for the company getting back into figures since buying toybiz figures as a kid and being excited to see how they've improved just to see the flat, boring, paintless, detail-less, atrocities Habsro has been selling in their place missing all the attention to detail l loved seeing in toybiz figures. I only got two of those McFarlane figures the Masked Thomas Wayne Batman and the Damien Wayne Robin and I believe I have ordered the Red Hood and Nightwing two pack and that’s it, ohh and I like to get the classic Superman I would get the John Stewart Green Lantern but I got the NECA Green lantern with Yellow Lantern Predator, I wish he’d start doing some classic DC figures, this shit is ridiculous DC can’t get out of there on way no wonder there company is doing so bad, great video though, I just hate this line and yes I have all the books I just hate this story line maybe it’s because I hate horror (it’s a long story involving an older brother).
