I've been following this car since day 1 on Jackie's channel. I'm both sad and happy at the same time! I tried my best to track with Jackie at VIR but we never made it happen. Maybe I can still get to be on track with this car in it's future iteration! Hopefully I'll see you guys at a track day soon!

The way he wants the car to be turned into is quite tasteful for tuners, not just for track but also for street. And glad that he took over this s2k and perhaps will make one the best tactics of gear and gasoline.

i am so, so glad that this car went to you guys. I think i speak for a lot of viewers when I say, Jackie was not the only one with a sentimental connection to this car. The dogfights, crashes, temporary fixes, iterations and tuning, victories and losses we have seen this car go though make it so indescribably special. Please take care of it

Trunk release for the S2000 is actually a button in the center console storage area between the rear seatbacks. There is additional lever that opens the top of that storage area as well. Great for putting documentation/owners manual, etc.

Ben if you need a good source for body panels and used parts A Solutions Auto based in Chicago has tons of parts for the s2000. Ask for Paul. I bought a full rear clip, and many other used oem parts from him when I crashed mine and repaired it. I Would love to share my knowledge with yall on body working, and working on this car because I have done the process you plan to do.

Ben, get the science of speed k20ac1 plug and Play kit and pop it in there! Would be an awesome build. Would be interesting to see how the new type r engine does in the s2000.

K24 with rotrex is better and cheaper. And it will rev to 8000 rpm. K20C1 only revs to 7000 rpm. So you can have a shorter final drive with the K24 wich will enhance even more its power, while with the K20C1 you will need to use a longer final drive, stretching its power

Sell the Toyota to fund this. AP’s are so fun to drive, it’ll be well worth it. I would start by looking for a trans and adapter so bolt to the engine. Then wheels so it can be a roller. Get the engine, get it to drive..kinda.. then work in the exterior

Search for his channel and you will understand. He was pushing 101% that s2k. He has many highlights going over the limit with the s2k.

@@z3dz Saying in a good way is he always pushes for the limit which is what a racing driver should do definitely, but when it's not, you could say he does not know where the limit is as well. Never heard of him but as soon as I sees him, I remembered that I saw his video when he was the first to crash the new Supra. And after watching the intro imma like whoa this guy is really an expert in crashing.

Looking forward to this build. As an s2000 owner I didn't look back after adding boost to my car. Its the one thing the car was missing to be the perfect vehicle imo. Don't waste your time with n/a power unless its a high power build. Throw a 🐌 on it and enjoy the k series reliability

Just do what Ben did. K24 bottom end with a k20 head and then throw in some stage 2 drag cartels and it will be super reliable while also giving you a good amount of hp on the street.
