When I was a child I made doll house furniture out of balsa wood. I actually made a mini journal/book. I used garage sale beaded necklaces to make candle sticks and Victorian style lamps. It was so fun seeing all of the mini working items you found. Brought back memories!

I love how HopeScope said that the person she got the dollhouse from thought it was for a child. I am in my early teens, and I got a dollhouse for my birthday last year. I just find it a relaxing way to play with them after a rough day and express my feeling and the things I want to do through them. Like i use the dolls to say stuff i want to say to the teacher or my friends. Also nice video Hope.

My Grandma and Nana had dollhouses, I loved them. My siblings and cousins and I would spend summer days together for hours playing with my Nanas in her "special room," we couldn't really play with my Grandmas. I think because she went blind and wanted it how she remembered it. So awesome!! I have a me daughter and 2 love daughters who would love this!! Happy Holidays Hope!

My grandmother passed away this past July. It was very difficult for me as we were very close. Anyways, she actually loved miniatures. She built her own miniature dollhouses from scratch and loved going on the hunt at flea markets to find the perfect additions (this was before these were so easy to find). Our newspaper even did a piece on her and her collection. No idea what will happen to it now. Seeing the joy all these miniatures bring you reminds me so much of how happy it made my avó that it brought me to tears. I'm sure she would be so happy to see how much pleasure it brings you and she would be so impressed with all the treasure you managed to find. Thank you for unknowingly keeping her memory alive for me ❤

This reminds me of the dollhouse my mum made for me as a kid. It wasn’t quite as functional in some ways but it did have working lighting you could turn on with a switch, glass windows, carpets and real stairs! I absolutely loved it!
