Good point. He takes us down Memory Lane… with GPS instead of a AAA map! Trog covered my first guitar 🎸… a Gibson SG Special (1962-64).It was really cool to learn things about my guitar 🎸… things I had no clue about… WAY back in the day! It played well and we got gigs, so I just shut up and played! Haha 😆 Thanks, guys… and Trog. I'm finally educated. Btw, I bought my SG from a pal…. for $125 bucks. Those were the Daze!!!

Years ago (late '80s) a female friend of family won a GC sponsered radio contest. Prize, a black Ibanez 'super strat' (HSS) in black signed by Joe Satriani. She and her boy friend bring it by for me to check out. Signed on the back, fairly large script in metallic pink. Pretty sweet. Plug it in and the bridge pick up didn't work. She lets GC know and they not only fixed the switch but gave the back a clear coat to save the signature. Right thing to do.
@stevenedwards44703 жыл бұрын
@@glenkepic3208 That's a cool story. That's not exactly why i said that. Look at the one in the video. That's a nice guitar. Pricey. I would not buy that guitar just to case it or hang it on the wall. So the rub off is an issue always. But look how he signed it. 😆 The placement is so random. Its not even going in a direction that makes sense. That signature would devalue that guitar in my eyes and I'm old enough to respect Scotty Moore. It's better on something removable.

A little tip for the good folks out there. Les paul reissue's get a darker burst to cover less than impressive areas or tops ..ie they apply lighter colors with more striking tops. So why do you have a Sweetwater rep, do you buy that often? I don't understand why. You go online, look around, click on a guitar, add to cart/order/pay and it gets shipped to you. Why are they needed? To answer the phone when someone asks for a thick sounding guitar? Come on, it's 2020, everyone can look online or visit a store (in non-pandemic times) and test a guitar out. Or does he have to call people and ask them ''hey bro, I know you're looking for a TV Yellow special with P90s, we just got one in''? Doesn't a wishlist/tracker/... work like this?
