If you're just the middleman, arranging the shipments and some branded marketing package stuff it's a great business model (for a niche enthusiast market); problem is she wanted to go for a completely different market of broad-base middle-high income parents, and also wanted to go for a continuous rental business model, which only works if you're the one manufacturing the product, or the product is so cheap wholesale it doesn't matter. Toys are not cheap wholesale unless you're buying Chinese bootlegs XD.

As a business data analyst/statistician guy, the 99% effectiveness was such bullshit lol. Although not impossible, for you to reach 99% effectiveness you need the planets to align. Funny enough, many times when you hear this statement they manipulate results for them to sound legit when they aren’t. Now, the product obviously works very well when the environment is used in is extremely polluted, but in the US this would be a massive failure. I would’ve called bullshit immediately. However, the guy was very well researched and knew the demographics to target. That plus the contract ultimately got him a deal and he even turned it down. The guy is a multimillionaire as a result. The pitch was almost perfect to me. Genius

Nah, these have a genuine use behind them. Countries with low air quality like India and China can definitely use these because they’re meant to protect the user from allergens and smog, not other people. So in reality, it’s a good product. Just probably not very useful for the West with slightly better air quality regularions

The bacon guy isn't wholly unprecedented. There is a product in the UK called the Teasmade that was invented in the 1930s, which is a mixture of an alarm clock and a kettle that makes you a cup of tea when you wake up. It was popular in the 60s but it's pretty niche now.

Yeah I thought about that too but I think it's probably more useful for pollen and the like. If you just wanna walk outside without sneezing it probably works pretty well. Probably not super useful for diseases from other people you would talk to.

You can choose not to breath through your mouth, but that leaves you forced to breathe through your nose. Filter that, and maybe you’re getting somewhere. I used to work with drywall and these would have been super useful for that even. Every day you would be inside hanging boards you’d have a nose full of Sheetrock dust and you could even taste it running down your throat. If they could’ve prevented that I would’ve used them every day lol
