Thanks for the comment. It's a great little machine that packs a punch for the price. 👍 As far as feedback, I feel like the ground cable could be a little heavier gauge with a better clamp and maybe a little longer? Other then that nice plasma cutter that does what's advertised.

Just curious to thread the fitting in to avoid using the hard line, could you tell me the fitting size so I have it before the machine shows up

I’m using your Arccaptain mig200 and I love it. I’ve only ever worked with the big names before, Miller, Lincoln, Hobart but, now I want to get the arccaptain tig200p next so I can play around with the hf start and foot pedal control. Keep making welding affordable guys. Thanks!

Just bought the same Air Capt. P-Cutter. Excellent quality and consistent cuts. I tried on mild 1/2-inch steel, 1/8 in aluminum plate and stainless pipe. So impressed I went and bought the 200A stick welder and a 200 AC/DC Tig.

Awesome!👍... I am in the middle of filming a review on the MIG200 today and just like the TIG200 and CUT50 the quality is very good. I will hopefully be able to review the AC/DC TIG machine at some point also... Definitely a solid line of equipment at a budget friendly price. 👍

I think they screwed up when they boxed it. It is supposed to come with a roll of orange hard line for the air. Your fix was what most folks do anyway. Great vid, thanks for sharing!

I just bought the same one and I’m really excited to get it. Question, what size air compressor do I need to run this thing?
@ChallengeTheBuild
@ChallengeTheBuild 6 ай бұрын
I have had the same question regarding this and I actually do not know what the minimum requirements are, I looked at scfm requirements and could not find anything. I think a small 10-20 gallon compressor will be fine and the higher the scfm the better. I would look at the McGraw 20 gallon from Harbor Freight or something equivalent. Hope this helps.👍

Awesome video and demos I'm sold on this machine seems perfect for my needs. Weld samurai shield has plenty of negative reviews like IR shield doesn't come down far enough for protection what are your thoughts and have you had any issues with it?
@ChallengeTheBuild
@ChallengeTheBuild Жыл бұрын
So, the weld samurai shield is okay for how often I use it, but the build quality could be better. As long as its properly adjusted it seems to work okay, I really haven't had any issues with it. If you are going to use it every day to cut with the plasma cutter or torch a full face shield rated a 4/5 is probably the way to go (look at lincoln electric shields 👍) . Worst case is if you don't like it just return it 🤷‍♂️...The weld samurai shield has to be adjusted very close to your face in order for the cutting visor to protect the way it should. Appreciate you watching and commenting... Good luck and be safe. Also the plasma cutter for the money is awesome!

I just blindly bought this because it’s cheap and I’m getting my degree in welding and for my finals this semester for blueprints I need to build a welding cart/ I ordered it 2 days ago and really my question is does it matter what kind of external air compressor I buy? I’m on a steep budget and asking before I walk into harbor freight and buy the cheapest & smallest air compressor I can find

I just looked on HF website, I would think the McGraw 8 gallon or 10 gallon would work just be prepared for them to run constantly. Even the fortress 1 or 2 gallon might work again they will just run constantly so make sure you have the compressor and plasma cutter plugged into two different circuits or else you will probably blow your breaker.. Unfortunately the plasma cutter doesn't say anything about scfm just air pressure 40-70 psi, I am going to assume your cutting lighter material so the smaller compressor should work, again it will just run all the time similar to the old hypertherm plasma cutters where there was an internal compressor built into the machine. If it was me I think I would try the fortress ultra quite 2 gallon, since its gonna run constantly I would want something that is quite...If it doesn't work Im sure you could take it back and go bigger.. 🤷‍♂️ it's Harbor Freight...😁 Good luck👍 if you think about it hit me up and let me know how you do...

I don't know how they are coming up with 5 kva input at 110 volts. The cord is only big enough for 15 to maybe 20 amps
@ChallengeTheBuild
@ChallengeTheBuild Жыл бұрын
I have questioned the same thing almost every time I review one of these budget machines, regardless whether it's a welder or plasma cutter. They always seem to be very power hungry when running on 110v. The power cord never seems to be heavy enough. What I am wondering is if the duty cycle (50%-60%) plays into it? 🤷‍♂️ Because you can generally weld/cut for 5-6 minutes +/-, so the power cord is never really going to pull a lot of amps for an extended period of time...🤷‍♂️Not sure just a thought.

110volt should be ok for body work, sheet metal ? I have no 220v hookup yet
@ChallengeTheBuild
@ChallengeTheBuild Жыл бұрын
So I just tested a similar brand on 110v and it cut a piece of 1/4 inch plate so sheet metal should be no problem for this machine... Even though you may only have 110v its all going to depend on if the circuit is a 15 amp or 20 amp line ALSO if its a dedicated line to whatever outlet. If you only have 110v the best option is to have a dedicated 20 amp line, this way you can utilize the full potential of the machine. Good luck and be safe, if you are still unsure about the electric have an electrician help you out, can never be to safe. 👍

Do you find that using 220 instead of 110 affects cutting..i have a cut 50 plasma cutter with a non pilot arc torch,,it doesent seem to cut very well,,dont actually know if its able to convert to 220 but im thinking of buying a newer more powerful unit that i can use to make tractor attachments
@ChallengeTheBuild
@ChallengeTheBuild Жыл бұрын
With any heavy work (greater then 3/16" thickness) 220v is the a ONLY WAY to go! New equipment is always nice, if you can afford a new machine don't be afraid to spoil yourself 😁👍You're worth it!

Touch the entire time.. That's why the tips are consumables... You can raise it up but will probably use consumables a lot faster rate...
