I found the cheapest Harley bagger in the U.S., that actually runs. In this video I'll show you how I took this filthy beast from ugly to pretty in just a few hours.

I've got a 06 Flhpi with the half bag. Sgt Sam is what I call him, gave a little more than you did. I feel I got my money's worth. Cam chest was already done with SE203 cams screaming eagle tensioner plate and oil pump. Runs great. These are the best bikes to get.

Recently bought an 08. Ultra with 24 thou miles. It had been well cared for and looks and runs like new ! I had had a 2018 Gold wing dct and at my age wanted to return to HD which I rode for over 35 years. There are lots of low mileage bikes out there. Great video 😊

It's beautiful! Cleaned up very nice! I detail bike and I always use maguires paste wax, it's perfect for chrome, really brings out the color in the paint. In between washes I will use just a finishing spray ceramic wax, bikes stay beautiful! Maguires is also good for getting bugs off, but sometimes if they are really bad on windshield and ferring I will put a hot towel on, let it set for awhile and the bugs will come right off. Thank you for this awesome video ❤

Nice and I been using white diamond now for 3 years on my bike I really like it , The more you buff the shiner it gets the more you buff the Chrome , you keep buffing the Chrome and once its stops turning black that is the best you are going to get it , Starts off black wipe it all off hit it again it will turn black , Like I say once it stops turning black boy does that Chrome pop out 🕶

Jerry get some good plastic polish, the type used on a cigar boat, it will make that finish sparkle, it is meant for fiber glass but it will work great for that. I used up what I had left on my 09 1200rt BMW last year and was always asked how I got the bike to shine like it did, my Dad used to use the fiber glass polish on his boat, the good stuff does cost a bit, sorry I can't remember what it was called but it's still made. It is strictly for fifiber glass but again, I've used it on my bike and told other Harley riders about it. Let me know if you can find it or don't like it. I'm in south Tx and I've seen it around down here.

Jerry, I believe you said the little 3" buffer was only a little better than "polishing" by hand. Well, there is a reason for that -- it appears you were using the incorrect buffer pad. You needed a white or orange pad when working to remove moderate to severe oxidation and scratches using a polish. Black pads and red pads are intended for sealing and final wax work. Black and Red pads are NOT meant for cutting with polishes. Reach out if you have questions!!!
@motorman857
@motorman857 Жыл бұрын
I used an orange pad while cutting. The black pad was for the White Diamond wax. I say the buffer is almost useless because it stalls when doing side panels and can barely spin under it's own weight.

No issues only the air shocks 8:34 leaking oil so switched out to spring shocks. LOVE my bike! Read that the Harley Police bikes are made in a factory that only makes police bikes & they use better parts (?) is that true (?) THANK YOU really enjoyed the video 👏😀

Yes. There's a secret Harley police factory in Alaska where all the good parts are sent. The bikes get shipped by Ice road truckers. C'mon, they are made on the regular line but they only run the police bikes twice a year.

nice. one dealership i know of, harley davidson of madison, wi has on somewhat regular basis used motor's from the local agencies, usually they sold to agency and serviced them. don't think any of them had more than 30k miles on them and 2 yrs old. of course all the leo items are stripped off. i found for the hard to get off exhaust, some stuff called pink stuff, wife got for the pots and pans, almost like a toothpaste grit, puts a shine on, plus wheels.

Take a 30 minute ride on the bike first to warm it up and stir up the oil and the sludge on the bottom so the sludge comes out when the oil is drained. Especially with a bike that has sat idle as long as this bike.

Would be too strong for painted surfaces, but my one friend is 60 years old and you have a few years on me also, so I've got to trust you guys. Old dogs may not learn new tricks very easy, but all the tricks they know are tried and true. Thanks for sharing your secrets. Not a knock on age just a true statement. Young people may know a lot about current technology, but it's the older people that have the experience with what developed the technology in the first place. Keep it shiny side up motorman. I'll keep practicing so I can do the same.
