Jimmy, I had a wheel like that, I think you made a mistake by missing an important bit on that wheel! These type of wheels actually should have a button on the back or front of the wheel where you could change the mode from "keyboard" input type control to "wheel" input type control which would have allowed you to use it as a normal wheel with normal rotation, and pedals with normal input, etc. I suggest you doing another one video with these type of wheels, but with the normal mode! :D P.S. Did you install any drivers? That might have also caused an issue why the wheel and pedal inputs were not registered normally by the game. P.P.S. For anyone wondering, these type of wheels are still terrible, but you can use them for shitty racing experience if you are on a pocket money size budget :D Nowadays I have G920 - a million times better experience!

It’s so sad man. It reminds me of the Boot Theory from Terry Pratchett in Men at Arms. It’s expensive being poor because you have to replace cheaper things more often and they have less use as they’re lower quality. Whereas rich people can afford the higher entry price for quality and can buy the item once and happily keep the item for years. So by the time you measured up in a couple of years, the poor people would’ve spent more money than the rich.

The steering reached the maximum at about 45° (you could turn the wheel about 100°, but past 45 it wouldn't have any extra effect), and the steering was "notchy", from 0 to 45° you would get 4 or 5 places where the wheels would "click in", like it would jump from ) to 20% steering, to 40%, etc.

Use to have those cheap wheels starting with the original playstation. I think they worked better for the older games like nascar and Granturismo 4 and below. My dad and i used "Mad Catz" wheels, no force feed back just vibtation, they were not quite as bad as that thing but they rotated about as far. It was the closest to Real Racing we could get before I discovered force feedback. My dad had a force-feedback wheel on his PC but I don't think they existed on any systems back then those cheap Wheels were the closest you could get. Instead of feeling the car you kind of watch the car and how it would handle so you could counter steer and catch the back end but the steering wheels even the cheap ones we're much better than using a controller. You had to be really sensitive with the steering and pedals. You had too barely turn it but once you got used to it you can make smoother runs in car games and hit your lines better than using a controller. My first force-feedback wheel was the Microsoft wheel for Xbox 360 and that's pretty much all I've used up until this Xbox one wheel I just got. My uncle and I had a lot of good races with those old cheap little plastic steering wheels of course I never heard of that brand I don't know if that's just special to your country but the Mad Catz brands we're pretty good for cheap Wheels

The Tracer company is a budget gaming (mainly, they also sell budget smarthome stuff) brand in Poland. Thus the "Gra Gratis" (Free Game) and "Jeden z najlepszych symulatorów na PC" (One of the best PC simulators). Their keyboards, mouses, gamepads etc. are of similar quality.

Have you installed correct drivers to that wheel. I found it hard to believe that this his how it was intended to be

As silly as it is, he's got it in digital mode, as opposed to analog mode, so there's no gradient. Kind of a face-palm moment ;)

This is an excellent garden. For a second I thought this was a stealth moving announcement, but I guess it's just a different angle from that other video that showed the garden.

I've been getting more and more into sim racing and it's making me depressed that I'm still stuck with my Logitech G27... This video just 100% cured my depression. I knew I could count on you, Jimmy! I'll save that money and put it towards my future chassis and simucube 2!

He couldn't. Even if he found a buyer, imagine the backlash if he would sell this for 200 and take the money. Charity or contest or something could work but probably not worth it either.

I have the same wheel and I use it with GTA V and with a mod called "manual transmission". The wheel and pedals are working perfectly fine with this game.

My first wheel was ~ £50 and also had 200° of rotation (Logitech Force EX), and I raced the same car on the same track in LfS demo over and over again for more than a year. It was a ton of fun.

Your mum has a lovely yard. I live with family as well and at 38 yrs old. Don't sweat it. Who really cares where you live, what matters is who you are as a person! Also with the amount of money you probably make, it wouldn't surprise me if you are paying most the bills anyways so yeah, nice yard, seems very peaceful

Ye, you hate to switch the analoge button on and then it's better. Friend of mine dumped this wheel at my home cause he was not using it and I'm into simulator games. The wheel is fine for it's money and works normal. No steering feedback and you can't press the brakes and the gas in same time, but otherwise it's fine. Defenetely fine for it's money, cause it's ultra cheap and it's ideal for people who still hesitates if they want to go into sim racing.

Oh yes, the fabled Cheap Chinese Wheel Sold Under Various Names. I had a set of those waaaay back in the day, and used it until it completely broke. You guys know those elastic strings tracksuits have, so you don't have to use a belt? The center force of the wheel was kept by a pair of those. One of them snapped after like two months of use. The pedals fared better, and since both of them have the same spring tension, I even got some flight sim use out of them. And the worst thing is, that set was still better than the ones I bought before biting the bullet and investing in a proper rig (GXT 288 if I remember correctly, steer clear of these if possible). The UltraCheap ones lasted me for about a year and a half, the new one's pedals died after a month or so. A friend also got those after trying mine, and his perished in the same way. Also, that's a really nice garden Jimmy, as an apartment building dweller I envy your sheddy lifestyle.

I was dumb enough to buy a similar wheel years ago. It behaved exactly like this one. Do yourself a favor and don't buy cheap! Afterwards it's simply more expensive than to buy a good one in the first place.

I actually started out in simracing with a wheel like this. 180 degree, bungee cords, constantly needed fixing when the wheel broke off from the potentiometer. Eventually the downshift paddle stopped working and I had to downshift using a button
