Super unrelated but I watched you years and years ago, and when you were opening up about your ex it gave me the strength to leave my abusive bf at the time. It was really hard and I spent years being single trying to find myself again; but here I am 10 years later, I spent those years making amazing memories with friends and even by myself which I never thought was possible, and I'm lucky enough to have found my absolute soulmate in a partner who I never dreamed I'd "deserve" when I was stuck in that rut years ago. I just can't thank you enough for that nudge, knowing someone else came out the other end as wonderful as you - ahhh thank you Rach!! I hope you're doing amazingly

Quick little conversion for you, I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius by subtracting 30 and then dividing by 2. Eg, 90 - 30=60. 60÷2= 30 So 90 degrees F is roughly 30 degree C.

16:56 As a science teacher, I can assure you that I DO teach C to F conversions. I’m sorry yours clearly didn’t. It is F = C x 9/5 + 32 . The easy (but way less accurate) version is to take the temp in C, double it and then add 30. So 25C times 2 = 50. Then add 30, which = 80F. It is a ROUGH and slightly over estimate to help you figure out whether something is basically hot or cold relative to body temp. Inversely, take your F, subtract 30 and then divide it by two. For example, 60F minus 30 = 30. Now divide it by 2 to = 15C. Again, VERY ROUGH estimate, but close enough for government work.

They did teach all the conversions in Indian schools, even though temperature is measured in Celsius there. I am now teaching Maths, Physics and Informatics in a German high school in Germany and I teach measurements & conversions actively in my classes, but the students say they have a smartphone. Few students are overjoyed with these conversion/measurement problems and take extra homework to solve them at home. One can't teach somebody something if they aren't interested. By the way, Temperature in Fahrenheit = 1.8*Temperature in C + 32. Temperature in C = (Temperature in Fahrenheit - 32)/1.8. In science, SI unit of temperature is Kelvin though, that's another fun conversion to learn.

My chemistry professor taught me a quick and dirty trick for conversion. C to F, double and then add 30. F to C, subtract 30 and then halve. It's not precise, but gets you in the realm of the other. Ex: 30 C would be 30 x 2= 60, plus 30 equals 90F. Ex: 60 F would be 60-30 = 30, divided by 2 equals 15C. Google says the first would be 86 F and the second would be 15.55 C

Just putting it out there that just because a review is incentivized doesn't necessarily mean it's not honest! I review products through Influenster and there is no obligation to give a positive review and no penalty if you give a negative review. I am always honest but because I get the product for free to test I have to mark it as an incentivized review. That's why I always read to see if it's actually a thorough review with detail before I write it off entirely 🙂

for celsius to fahrenheit: no easy conversion, but think of fahrenheit as a percentage of temperature, how it feels to your body. 0% temperature is really really cold. 50% temperature is pretty medium, maybe a little chilly. 100% temperature is HOT like omg I don't think it can get any hotter (spoiler: it can). like 50-75% temperature is a nice place to be
