The most unoptimized box I've ever seen.
Hi everyone! Today I'm unboxing the Flare Nekopara Chocola & Vanilla lingerie set. I paid about $160 Canadian to get these figures to me...was it worth it? Let me know if you guys also bought this set and what you think of the shipping situation! Is it a lack of forethought for international buyers? Does Flare just hate us? I had a similar issue with a non scale Nezuko I got, there is so much dead space and since its non scale I typically have the box folded down and the blister pack stacked in a way that saves more space. Huge boxes like this are such a pain

I asked AmiAmi to reduce the Shipping Box, and DHL went down like 4K Yen, but I just went with surface Parcel instead, I have a lot of pre Orders, so I rather save that money. Nice Unboxing btw 👌🏼

In Canada right now our only shipping option from Ami Ami is DHL. There's no surface, air mail or EMS to Canada at all T_T

@@ollieronan that sucks man, hope that changes soon for you guys, I’ve seen comments of people on MFC that lives in Canada close to the US border and they ship their packages on a PO Box in the US and they cross for packages over there, just an idea in case you live close to the border.

@@haituan8942 I live in U.S., California and surface was 2845 JPY, but you won’t get the surface option unless yo ask amiami to reduce shipping box, but they’ll warn you that they won’t be helping in any way if the box or figure gets damaged.

I had them shipped EMS for half the price and I'm wishing I had paid the DHL price. They've been sitting in customs for about 2 weeks. At least when I pay the premium for DHL, my orders arrive promptly. They look so cute! After a year and a half of waiting for these two, I can't wait to finally have them.

With shipping at such exorbitant prices, I would definitely recommend looking at domestic shops, especially ones that offer free shipping on figures as the prices are now becoming pretty competitive. The only other trade-off are the delays when receiving products, but that's personal preference as well. I've been shopping at BLYN Toys and they offer discounts on pre-orders and free shipping on all products, so it's been a huge plus for me!

I felt like both figures could be placed back-to-back facing outwards (left and right) and have the view windows be on the sides rather front. They probably went with this presentation due to better aesthetics. Nevertheless, I say the shipping is well worth it. Rather than putting it as 160, i might personally quantify it as 80 each figure. And for dhl, that ain’t half bad considering ems is already at least 40-50 at twice-thrice the shipping time.

On Mandarake I was excited to see recently the erina from food wars bare leg bunny version available but then the DHL shipping was 21000 yen when the figure was 20000 yen... So sadly did not get erina in the end. Cute unboxing and the only neko girl I really like is coconut based on design.

I paid for them last year at Ninningame with vat/tax included DPD/DHL shipping and I am lucky european, I think. They ware shipped right away after domestic release without added costs. Unfortunately they're still in the box and I am hoping in one (two xp) pieces and intact. Love them, though not seeing them yet.

I'm importing statues from China, shipped in giant boxes weighing upwards of 30 pounds, for less than $160, usually around $120. That price seems out of line given the size of the package. . Nice figures though! As long as you're happy, that's all that matters.

Oddly enough. I don't think there would of been anyway to really optimize the actual figure box at all. If you were to stack them on top in their own blisters it would of been taller, and if you went side by side it would of been a lot longer.
