Only really makes a difference with the 6500 xt. I'm running a gen-4 capable MOBO and I bought a 6600 xt for my brother, who has a gen3 PCIE. There almost is no difference in FPS with the same CPUs, about 2-3%. He has the exact same case aswell, just white & 6 fans instead of 1.

I'm so used to seeing budget prebuilts be absolute garbage that this kinda threw me off, though in a very good way. Cable management was quite nice, part selection made sense collectively, packaging was well above average, all in all rather impressive. Nice to see this company have pride in what they do, I wish them the best.

I’m rocking a 2009 Alienware that my dad had for general office stuff. First gen i7, but since it’s essentially maxed out as is it still keeps up with most games to this day. Upgraded the GPU twice (originally a GTX 260, then a 750 Ti and now a 1060 6GB) and added an SSD since. Finally upgraded to 12 GB of RAM this year too, but that’s because the extra RAM slots went bad and knocked me down to 6GB from the 9GB stock RAM. Poor thing is probably on its last leg, but it’s been a really effective beast for a long time.

Ooh, this PC doesn't look half bad at all! I'd personally get the one with the RTX 3050 installed, and yes I would probably change the SSD to a larger one. Though if they're also including a 1TB hard drive, suddenly a 256GB SSD isn't too much of a problem, if you're just using the PC for gaming, and not storing all of your files on. I'd also probably try and source a case with optical drive bays, and I'd probably try and source 32GB RAM instead of 16GB, but that's just me.
