Hi. This is the first part of the construction of my large CNC machine. Today we will weld the frame of the machine frame. We will cast the aluminum blanks, process them and assemble the Z axis. Enjoy watching!
Hi guys. My name is Mikhail. On this channel you will see a lot of projects on how to make things with your own hands. Projects are different starting from simple devices and ending with large machine tools. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends about me.

Judging by the frame this thing is going to be an absolute monster. Casting and milling your own aluminum is taking DIY to another level.

It is getting fine, but please put closed-loop stepper motors on it, it will greatly favor the precision of the cnc.

I'll be following, I need a smallish unit, i make LEDs from Aluminium extrusion that requires lots of marking and drilling.. a 1 x2 or 1 x 4' machine would be plenty. Also it only works with light u shaped extrusion so doesn't need to be super strong.

Отличный станок будет. Может конечно ось Z не много тяжеловата, но вы наверно подпружинивать ее будете дальше?

You should have made the plates for the feet fit 3/8" inside the tubes and weld all around, the weld is not visible, and no grinding involved and looks better too.

Those are some beautiful homemade parts. What are you spraying on the parts before wrapping them for storage?

That is not always possible, especially if you are left handed. They need to make a range of grinders where the motor turns backwards for us.

12:55 - Interesting casting your own aluminum frame. Does it require stress relief? 17:25 Why do you first align the master rail then start scraping? 19:17 - What did you spray it with?

Do you call it CNC ? It is simple 1 axes slide table with cheep machinery method . You need to learn a lot.

He isn't done yet mister smart guy, that was just part of the build. The "slide table" was obviously the Z axis. You need to learn a lot.
